If you are relavely new to Scoung, you may have noced

that knowing who to contact with quesons can be difficult.

Whats the difference between a District Chair, District

Commissioner, and District Execuve? Who do you turn to

    with quesons?

    District Chair

Jeff Weber, our District Chair, is responsible for all district

operaons and is our principal district leader. Jeff is

responsible for the District Commiee and supervises the

various chairs on that commiee. He is responsible for district

staffing and manpower and oversees district finances. Jeff is a

member of the District Key 3. He represents our district at the

council level and is the only member of our district with

vong power at the council level.

    District Commissioner

Jay Hauser, our District Commissioner, is responsible for

service to units. Commissioners, in general, are there to make

sure that units like packs, troops, teams, crews, and posts

succeed. They are focused on unit quality and unit

performance. The District Commissioner oversees all

commissioner service in the district and serves as a member

of the District Key 3. Jay and his Assistant District

Commissioner staff (ADCs) are responsible for overseeing

rechartering efforts in the Fall. All Unit Commissioners report to

    Jay through their respecve ADC.

    District Execuve

Russ Nash, our District Execuve, is the professional Scouter

that supports the district. He is a member of the District Key 3

and is responsible for working directly with all leaders at the

district level to support them in their role. Russ carries several

council level responsibilies and is available to any leader,

parent, or youth to help answer quesons or solve problems.

    Assistant District Commissioners (ADC)

Jess, Richard, Dave, and Frank are our Assistant District

Commissioners (referred to commonly as ADCs). They are

responsible for zones within the district and work with Unit

Commissioners within those zones. Jess Argyle works with all

LDS units in the Jerome Zone (Jerome Stake), Dave Jensen

works with all Unit Commissioners in the Wendell Zone

(Wendell Stake), Frank Powers works with all Unit

Commissioners in the Carey Zone (Carey Stake), and Richard Fife

works with all tradionally-chartered units throughout the

    district.Program Chair

Chris Mikesell, our District Program Chair, is a member of the

District Commiee and is responsible for overseeing all

programs in the district. Events such as District Cub Scout Day

Camp, District Camporees, and the annual Klondike Derby are

run by Chris and his commiee.

    Training Chair

George Orr, our District Training Chair, is a member of the

District Commiee and is responsible for overseeing all training

acvies at the district level. He and his commiee assist

commissioners with training needs at the unit level (packs, troops, etc.). George is responsible for district leader specific

    training events.

    Roundtable Commissioner

Ilene Jenkins, our Roundtable Commissioner, is responsible for

the districts monthly Roundtable meengs. She and her staff

have a heavy responsibility and provide a remarkable service to

unit leaders (den leaders, Cubmasters, Scoutmasters, etc.) in our

    district.

    Program Commissioners

RaeLyn, Jarrod, Mike, and Dean are, respecvely, our Cub Scout,

Boy Scout, Varsity, and Venturing Commissioners. As district-

level officers, they are responsible for supporng all aspects of

their specific program. Chances are, they were/will be among

the first people you meet at Roundtable. Turn to them

whenever you have a queson. If they cant take care of your

needs, they will know who to contact for addional help.
