Begin by positioning the wing to the body front; pin. Add the decorative stitching using three strands of medium brown floss a lighter in shade than the wing. Position the head and face onto the body front overlapping the wing; pin.

Position the yellow and black circles for the eyes in place. Tack by making a X in the black portion with black embroidery floss. Add the decorative stitching around the face using three strands of medium brown embroidery floss. Tack the beak into place with black embroidery floss.

Pin the body front and back together. Using a blanket stitch with three strands of medium brown floss, sew around the edges, pausing to stuff with fiberfill before completing. Form the feet with a bit of wire if you like.
