IMAGE Art Show Judges
Brandon Kuehn
Brandon Kuehn completed his BFA from the University of Minnesota in 1997, and he completed his MFA from the Art Institute of Boston at Lesley University in 2011. Currently he resides with his family in the Twin Cities. More information on Brandon is at http://www.brandonkuehn.com/
Bethany Whitehead
Bethany Whitehead has been an engaged arts administrator for the past decade, serving as the Executive Director of Banfill-Locke Center for the Arts in Fridley, as Membership Director at the Walker Art Center, as the Board President for WARM, and the Membership Manager at the Playwrights’ Center before taking on the role of Program Director at the Metropolitan Regional Arts Council in fall of 2016. She has curated over 30 art exhibitions and enjoys working with artists to share their work with a greater audience. She is an active volunteer, giving her time at art organizations across the Metro and helping lost travelers at the MSP airport. Holding a BA from Kalamazoo College and an MA from Saint Mary's University in arts administration, each year she assesses student Capstone papers and serves as a mentor to aspiring arts managers. In her free time she likes to travel the world, read poetry and novels, visit galleries, see theater, bike, and visit area dog parks with her two aging canines.
IMAGE 2017 Awards
The IMAGE Art Show does not use set categories for entering artwork or for distributing awards. Instead, artists have described the artwork medium used in their own words. The following will be awarded at the Art Show Opening Celebration on Saturday, April 22, at 6 p.m.:
2 Judge's Choice Awards - $500 each
Up to 10 Excellence Awards - $200 each
Up to 10 Merit Awards - $150 each
Purchase Awards will also be made at this time. ECRAC will purchase 1 or more entered works of art which will become part of the Council's permanent collection.
In addition, the People's Choice Award in the amount of $300 will be awarded after the show is over on Saturday, April 29.
