Start-UpBackground-

SfC was developed by Oxfam- America in 2005

Established in 1995 as a confederation of 15 organizations

working to reduce poverty

Implement at Cambodia since 2011

by Freedom from Hunger, the Stromme Foundation

Grown to serve approximately 85,000 women in Cambodia as of March

2014

Now, approximately 680,000 members in 13 countries

worldwide with 15- 25 members in one group

RACHA implement in Myanmar from 2016

Start-UpAims & Purpose -

Facilitating for Providing knowledge and skills to the target

areas to develop and form SfC group:

Develop micro-credit or finance

to serve/ save the rural poor from hunger, emergency situations, &

lack of access to health care

Availability of small loan within the group to be able to start small

business or entrepreneur to benefit individual, families, group &

society

Sub-Goal:

Promoting reproductive, child and maternal health care

No grant or matching fund to the group

Group is autonomous & self –regulated

Members are self selected based on trust

Seven weekly training sessions

Flexible cash deposites with 5 times of minimum saving amount

Organizing People to ParticipateApplying active/ structure observation skills

( Observe the village, schools, road, gardens, living

conditions, houses, church/pagoda, shops etc)
