The Twin Cities faith community will unite at HealthPartners’Regions Hospital in Saint Paul for the largest simultaneous pro-lifemobilization in our history. Last fall 40 Days for Life took place in204 cities in 49 states, 2 Canadian provinces, 1 Americanterritory and the District of Columbia. There were 175,000prayer supporters, over 55,000 participants on the street inprayer vigils in front of abortion facilities, three abortion facilitiespermanently closed, 1,128 children saved and over 4,000 churchcongregations united for life. People of faith across America arepraying that this effort will mark the end of abortion. The 40 Daysfor Life campaign is made up of three key components:

? Prayer and Fasting:inviting people offaith throughoutour region to jointogether for 40 daysof fervent prayerand fasting for anend to abortion.

? Peaceful Vigil:standing for lifethrough a 40-daypeaceful publicwitness outside Regions Hospital.

? Community Outreach: taking a positive, upbeat pro-lifemessage to every corner of our region through media efforts,church presentations, petition drives, and public visibility.

HealthPartners,one of

Minnesota's largest health organizations, is killingunborn babies inside an abortuary it owns andoperates. This abortuary is very unusual, beingcompletely contained within Regions Hospital(formerly St. Paul-Ramsey Medical Center) in St.Paul. Ob-Gyn residents at the University ofMinnesota Medical School take a rotationthrough this facility. Abortions are committed intothe sixth month of pregnancy at HealthPartners'Regions Hospital. Latest statistics from theMinnesota Department of Health report thatHealthPartners, inside its Regions Hospital, killed731 babies in 2007. Throughout the years, thisabortuary has killed between 600 and 1,200babies annually.

found. Further, the abortuary has been given thevery innocuous name of “GYN Special Services,”hiding the real purpose for this facility.

A frustration for people has been the lack ofhealth insurers who do not pay for abortions intheir coverage. HealthPartners, though, has setitself as the worst offender, by not only paying for abortions in its insurance coverage, butactually aborting innocent children and training abortionists.

HealthPartners needs to be held accountable forits direct involvement in killing unborn babies andfurthering the proabortion movement by trainingfuture abortionists. HealthPartners is a member-governed organization. Anyone who hasHealthPartners for their medical insurer is avoting member of the organization and hasinfluence on its governance.
