This was stated by Minister for IT/TE/Youth Services and Sports, Molvi Imran Raza Ansari while chairing the meet- ing of Senior Officers and Officials of Youth Services and Sports Department at Civil Secretariat here. The meeting was attended by Commissioner Secretary for Youth Services & Sports Department Hilal Ahmad Parray and Director Youth Services & Sports, Sheikh Fayaz Ahmad. The National Level events are being organized by the Department of Youth Services & Sports under the aegis of School Games Federation of India at Jammu. Football tourney is being organized for under-17 years' boys from December 11 to December 17, 2017 while as the National Level event in Wushu for U-17 and U-19 boys will commence from December 19 to December 23, 2017. Ansari while expressing utmost joy over the participation of the state Youth in the 62nd National School Games said that it really gives me immense pleasure to learn that 1090 (boys) and 788 (Girls) have par- ticipated in various disciplines of 62nd National School Games (NSG) and the achievements of our young players in these events is something we all should be proud of. The tournament in which 12 teams are participating is being organized jointly by Simula Club, KC Sports Club and J&K Sports Promoters Club. Earlier, in first match, Khalsa Cricket Club defeated Nagrota Youngsters by 87 runs. Batting first, Khalsa scored 174 runs in the stipulated 20 overs for loss of 3 wickets, with Dhruv Mahajan (52), Bansi Lal (50) and Amandeep Singh (38) being the main scorers. From bowling Side, Deep Singh and Rahul Singh took 1 wicket each. Nagrota Youngsters, in reply made 87 runs in 20 overs, thus lost the match by 87 runs. Niju Singh (38), Rahul (20) and Rahul Handoo (10) were the main scorers. In the final match, GDC Udhampur outplayed GDC Hiranagar by (3-2) sets (26-24, 25-21, 22-25, 20-25, 16-14). Ruben Teji, Joy Pawar and Daleep Singh were the star per- formers of the match, while Sourav Sharma, Rishav Jasrotia and Harith Sharma also played well for the GDC Hiranagar. Magoo inaugurates 33rd Jammu District Table Tennis Championship BCET organised Workshop on Robotics Excelsior Correspondent SAMBA, Oct 27: Bhargava College of Engineering and Technology, Samba organised two days workshop on robotics programming in association with IIT- Bombay, here today. This is the first of its kind in institution of Higher Learning in the State of Jammu and Kashmir. Introduction about robotics through e-Yantra lab set up ini- tiative. Aim of workshop was to create eco-system at Colleges/ Universities to teach embedded system and robotics in effective way to catch up 10T based proj- ects. Director MS Baloria in his welcome address mentioned about the need of learning robotics and embedded pro- gramming in higher education. Prof. Ashok Sharma coordi- nator of workshop briefed the participants about need of embedded system in the era of smart cities. Krishna Lala, Senior Project Manager e-Yantra from IIT- Bombay presented detailed overview of entire project and benefits related to same. She addressed the Heads/ Participants to set up labs for better teaching learning process in regards to 10T based aspect. This workshop was very useful and about 20 Heads/ Principal and 120 faculty mem- bers from reputed organization attended the workshop. The Chairman of Bhargava College of Engineering and Technology Sh. S t ate Football League-2017 Maharaja Sports holds JKP XI to 1-1 draw Excelsior Sports Correspondent SRINAGAR, Oct 27: In the ongoing State Football League-2017, one Premier Division match was played at Synthetic Turf TRC between J&K Police XI and Maharaja Sports which ended in a 1-1 draw. In the closely contested match, both the teams missed several scoring opportunities. Zaid opened account for the Maharaja Sports in 22nd minute of the match. After conceding a lead, Police XI players attacked the opposite goalpost several times, but they failed to send the ball into the goal post. However, in 35th minute of the play, Tanveer scored an equaliser for the Police team and the first half ended with score line reading 1-1. After that both the teams tried their best to take the lead, but failed to do so. In the last minutes of the game, players from both the sides stepped up the attacks, but failed at the last hurdle. When the referee blew the final whistle the score line read 1-1. Zahid from Maharaja Sports was decalared as player of the match. Meanwhile, the State Football League, a mega event first of its kind in the history of J&K football, is going on at different venues of the state with full swing drawing huge crowds to the football venues. More than 500 football teams and clubs with over 12000 players and over 1500 team officials are participating in the mega event, the aim of which is to unearth the hidden talent across the State. The event is being held across the 22 districts of the state these days and is being organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Football Association (JKFA) under the auspices of J&K State Sports Council on the directions of All India Football Federation (AIFF). Sports Council ignores Jammu region: NSUI Excelsior Sports Correspondent JAMMU, Oct 27: In a press conference held by State Secretary of National Students Union of India (NSUI), Ranjoot Singh flayed J&K State Sports Council for its biased attitude in the allocation of funds in twin divisions of the State. Mr Singh, who is also a national player of Judo said that as per the RTI filed by a Congress leader it is found that 90% of the State's fund of sports has been allotted to Kashmir region, thus ignoring Jammu. He also flayed the Minister of Sports and the Secretary State Sports Council for spending time in Kashmir only and for their indifferent treatment to Jammu. The championship is being organized by J&K Judo Association under the aegis of J&K State Sports Council & J&K Olympic Association. About 100 Judokas from dif- ferent schools are taking part in the Championship. Shilpa Mahajan, Chairperson of the Shemrock School Akhnoor was the chief guest on the opening ceremony, S. Suraj Bhan Singh and Ritika Slathia were the guests of hon- our. The bouts were officiated by Manish Chatwal and Komal Gupta. The Championship was organized by the Badminton Association and Universal Sports Club Rajouri and was sponsored by Harsh Niketan Higher secondary School Sunderbani. About 30 young players participated to exhibit their tal- ent in various categories. S. Mallikarjun won the Gold, Ragunandan Gupta bagged Silver, while Vidur Raina and Aniket Kumar shared bronze. In order to provide a plat- form to the youth of the area to show their talents, in different capacities as well as sensitize them against the evil effects of the drugs and other criminal activities. Today 4 matches were played in which MBS, Makhanpur Gujjran Hockey Club, Diamond Hockey Club, Young Star Hockey Club and Maharaja Ranjeet Singh Hockey Club played their respective matches. Boxer Pradeep enters QFs in Sr Nationals Excelsior Sports Correspondent JAMMU, Oct 27: Jammu and Kashmir ace boxer Pradeep Sharma has qualified for the Quarterfinals of the ongoing Senior National B o x i n g Championship, being organized by BFI at Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh.     This is the first of its kind ininstitution of Higher Learningin the State of Jammu andKashmir.

    Introduction about roboticsthrough e-Yantra lab set up ini-tiative. Aim of workshop was tocreate eco-system at Colleges/Universities to teach embeddedsystem and robotics in effectiveway to catch up 10T based proj-ects.

    SRINAGAR, Oct 27: In theongoing State FootballLeague-2017, one PremierDivision match was played atSynthetic Turf TRC betweenJ&K Police XI and MaharajaSports which ended in a 1-1draw.

    In the closely contestedmatch, both the teams missedseveral scoring opportunities.Zaid opened account for theMaharaja Sports in 22ndminute of the match. Afterconceding a lead, Police XIplayers attacked the oppositegoalpost several times, butthey failed to send the ball intothe goal post. However, in 35thminute of the play, Tanveerscored an equaliser for thePolice team and the first halfended with score line reading1-1.

    After that both the teamstried their best to take the lead,but failed to do so. In the lastminutes of the game, players

    from both the sides stepped upthe attacks, but failed at thelast hurdle. When the refereeblew the final whistle the scoreline read 1-1. Zahid fromMaharaja Sports was decalaredas player of the match.

    Meanwhile, the StateFootball League, a mega eventfirst of its kind in the history ofJ&K football, is going on atdifferent venues of the statewith full swing drawing hugecrowds to the football venues.More than 500 football teamsand clubs with over 12000players and over 1500 teamofficials are participating inthe mega event, the aim ofwhich is to unearth the hiddentalent across the State.

    JAMMU, Oct 27: In a press conference held by State Secretaryof National Students Union of India (NSUI), Ranjoot Singh flayedJ&K State Sports Council for its biased attitude in the allocationof funds in twin divisions of the State.

    Mr Singh, who is also a national player of Judo said that as perthe RTI filed by a Congress leader it is found that 90% of theState's fund of sports has been allotted to Kashmir region, thusignoring Jammu.

    He also flayed the Minister of Sports and the Secretary StateSports Council for spending time in Kashmir only and for theirindifferent treatment to Jammu.
