Masakazu Yoshimura, Managing Director, Toyota Kirloskar Motor Private Limited, Sri K.Ramasamy, Chairman, Roots Group of Companies jointly cut the ribbon and inaugurated the Park in the presence of Thiru OK.Chinnaraj, Member of Legislative Assembly, Mettupalayam Constituency, Thiru PRG.Arunkumar, Member of Legislative Assembly, Coimbatore North, Dr.M.Jeyasankaran Joint Transport Commissioner, Coimbatore in his address underline the importance of Road Safety. School Governing Council Member and the Former Director of School Education,

Goverment of Tamilnadu, Thiru R. Thiyagarajan Regional Transport Officer were also

present.

Followed by the inauguration, the students of the school explained and demonstrated a few

safety instructions and the importance of traffic signals and the pelican crossing much to the

delight of the dignitaries. Children using the cycles with their helmets on, also went about

obeying the traffic rules meticulously and thus they became the safety ambassadors.

In an official function held at the School

Auditorium Sri K.Ramasamy Chairman,

Roots Group of Companies welcomed the

gathering and said that through this initiative

children's mind can be really trained because

young mind is the right ground for training.

He thanked the Toyota Kirloskar Motor

Private Limited for choosing our school to

establish the park. Sri.Masakazu Yoshimura, Managing Director, Toyota Kirloskar Motor

Private Limited gave the Key note address underlining the importance of establishing a Park

and how it would benefit the future road users. Mr.Naveen Soni, Vice President, Toyota

Kirloskar Motor Private Limited gave a presentation on TKM‟s Safety initiative. Safety

Pledge was given by Thiru R.Venkat Krishnan, General Manager, PED Toyota Kirloskar

Motor Private Limited.

Earlier in the function, a Video on Children‟s Road Safety Park established at the School was

shown highlighting its features to

the audience. A Mime by students

on Road Safety was enacted by the

Students of Satchidananda Jothi

Nikethan International School.

Dr.S.Chandrasekar, Core

Committee member UYIR Trust

gave a Presentation on the Activities the UYIR Trust, Coimbatore which has been taking

efforts to safeguard the lives of the road users. Later TKM Management handed over the

Safety School certificate to Dr. R. Uma Maheswari, the Principal of Satchidananda Jothi

Nikethan School. Dr. Kavidasan our Secretary proposed Vote of Thanks.

STHAAYI THEATRE FEST

In an Annual Play Competition,

conducted by Sthaayi Theatre Group,

Coimbatore hosted at Kikani Vidya

Mandir, Coimbatore our students

enacted a play, “Three Cups of Tea”

written by Greg Mortenson an American

Mountaineer. The story in its play

version from his biography portrays his

mission to open a chain of schools for the

children of Afghanistan and Pakistan. Our school won the second place among nine schools

that took part guided our Academic Advisor Dr.V.Ganesan, our English Teacher

Mrs.Vanitha Krishnaraj Directed and presented the play.

CHILDREN’S DAY

Teachers of the school presented a

variety of entertainment to enthral

students in the presence of

Sri.K.Ramasamy the Managing

Trustee of the school and

Dr.Kavidasan, our Secretary. The

programme included and Invocation, An

English Play – The Cop and the Anthem - Dances by Lady Teachers and Gentlemen teachers,

a Villupattu and a Group song. Sri.K.Ramasamy the Managing Trustee of the

school appreciated the efforts of the teachers. Children and the faculty enjoyed moonlight

dinner after the programme in the open gallery facing the ground.

Teacher of English, Mr.M.S.Adhiseshan, Teacher of Computer Science and

Mr.M.V.Haridas, Senior Cook of our school attended a three day Culinary class on learning

preparation of western cuisine – vegetarian - as a part of Cultural Exchange Programme that

the school has already initiated with the school in UK.

NATIONAL HOCKEY CHAMPION - SATCHIDANANDA DRAWS EYE OF THE NATION

Under-17 Girls Team of Satchidananda Jothi Nikethan International School, Kallar,

Coimbatore, Tamilnadu

won the National Hockey

School, Varanasi from

November 14-19, 2019.

Winners of the respective

zones of CBSE schools across India and abroad competed for the National Title.

Our U-17 Girls team beat Bharatiya Vidhya Bhavan, Kodugu, Karnataka by a convincing

margin of 3-1 goals to prove the supremacy in the field of Hockey. In the semi finals, they

beat General Raj Senior Secondary School, New Delhi by margin of 4-1 and in the earlier

league matches they beat O.P.Jindal School, Raigarh 11-0; Indian School, Oman 5-0; and

drew with the finalist Bharatiya Vidhya Bhavan, Kodugu 1-1. In all, winners from seven

zones including one from outside the country took part in the tournament. The teams that our

school defeated in the earlier matches were the winners from their respective zones across the

country. S.Varshini of class XI was awarded with the „Best Forward Player‟ and

C.V.Dhanusha of class XII received the „Best Defender Award‟ for Under 17 girls.

Our Under-17 boys team who emerged as South Zone I winners ended up claiming Bronze-

2nd

Runner up - in the CBSE National Hockey Championship held in the same venue.

S.S.Sree Ram of class XI was adjudged the „Best Forward Player‟ in the Under 17 boys

category in the tournament.

It is moment of great pride that the South Zone-I champions, our U-17 girls beat PSBB,

Chennai by 13-0, BVB Public School, Bhimavaram by 10-0, The Lawrence School, Lovedale

by 8-0, in their earlier rounds held at Satchidananda Jothi Nikethan International School,

Kallar to qualify themselves for the Nationals finals.

We are glad to share that besides hosting South Zone Hockey tournament for the past six

years we also ended up finishing runners up on a couple of occasions including Last year‟s

National Hockey Championship held at Gurunanak Model Senior Secondary School, Doraha,

Ludhiana, Punjab.

President, Hockey Unit of Tamilnadu expressed that it is a big moral booster for a team from

Tamilnadu and the Hockey Unit of Tamilnadu will extend all the support to produce more

champions in the years to come. Dr.V.Ganasen, Academic Advisor, Dr.R.Umamaheswari,

Principal, Dr.S.Sakthivel, Vice Principal, all the staff and students of the school

congratulated them for their meritorious achievement in making the school proud.

Boy, Vice Head Girl, Dorm Captains,

Sports Captain, CCA Captains in a

glittering and solemn function held in

the school auditorium on Tuesday,

November 26, 2019. The young leaders

took oath to lead the school and

themselves in the right direction and

they were administered oath of office.

Dr.Kavidasan Secretary of our school briefed the responsibilities that the young leaders have

to execute. While wishing them good luck he also listed the qualities of leadership such as

honesty, integrity, self discipline, self confidence, courage, sincerity, empathy, straight

forwardness etc., and how these qualities shape a good leader in future.

Academic Advisor Dr.V.Ganesan, Principal of the School Dr.R.Umamaheswari, Vice

Principal Dr.S.Sakthivel were present along with the faculty members to congratulate the

young leaders. Young leaders who took oath promised to live up to the expectations of

everyone and pledged they will set themselves as an example as per our school motto, “Live

and Learn to Love and Serve”.

various course options available in US.

YOUNG SPRING 2019 –BANNARI AMMAN SCHOOL, SATHY

Our school students participated in various competition in 'Young Spring' -2019 (An event

for school Children) on November 2,

2019 held at Bannariamman Matric

School, Sathiyamangalam, Erode

District.

We won the following

Quiz Competition, Pen the Picture,

English Poem Competition, English

Elocution Competition, Tamil elocution

and Drama in both Senior and Junior

category, English Essay writing competition for Senior Category, were the competitions that

school students won the first place.

Our students also secured Second Places in English Poem competition Junior and Senior

category, English and Tamil Elocution in Senior category, Art and Craft in Junior category.

Third Place Tamil Poem Competition in Junior category was also bagged by us.

NMTC EXAM HELD IN SATCHIDANANDA SCHOOL

The Association of Mathematics Teachers of India (AMTI) conducted 51st National

Mathematics Talent competition final exam on 2nd

November, 2019 in our school premises.

Of the thirty five students who took part 19 students were from Satchidananda Jothi Nikethan

and the rest were from Narayana-e-Techno School. The results will be declared in the month

of January 2020.

Medals, 17- Silver Medals and 8- Bronze

Medals in various categories of swimming such as free style, back stroke, breast stroke and

butterfly.

Twelve students of our school participated in the Kovai Sahodaya Schools Complex Table

Tennis competition on November, 16, 2019 at Smart Modern School, Tirupur. Of the 125

students from nine schools who took part, we won the U-17, U-19 boys doubles, runner up in

U-17, U-19 boys singles, U-17 girls singles and doubles.

at PSG Public School, Coimbatore on

November, 12, 2019 our students won

first place in the Group Singing - Folk

in the junior category and second place

in Group Singing – Classical in the

Senior Category.

HINDI TRAINING PROGRAMME

Sri B.Kavetti Rangan, Rastrabasha

Adhikari Language Officer (OL), BSNL was

invited to address Second Language Hindi

students on November 12, 2019 at Lotus

Hall. He underlined the importance of

translation and how it would reach so many

readers nationwide.

INSIGHT PROGRAMME

Dr.Lakshmanan, the School Clinical

Psychologist met the parents and the students of

class 8 to appraise on the outcome of the

INSIGHT Aptitude test that was conducted to the

students in the month of August 2019 with regard

to the social behaviour and their career.

ABACUS STATE LEVEL COMPETITION

UCMAS Abacus State Level Competition

was held on November 16, 2019 at Chennai. More

than 1500 students all over the state participated

in various categories of the competition. Out of

120 students who took part in class 5 and 6

categories all the five of our students M.S.Raghul

of class 5 in C2 Category, G.R.Akshavarman of

class 6, M.Pranaw, S.V.Sanjay, J.B.Sri Raagav

of class 6 in C3 category won the trophies.

GYNAECOLOGIST ADDRESS

Dr.S.Puvitha, Gynaecologist, Surya Hospital, Mettupalayam addressed our girls on Health

and Hygiene on November 22, 2019. She stressed the importance of personal cleanliness and

how it would bring a healthy body free of all ailments.

STATE LEVEL OPEN AND CHILDREN CHESS TOURNAMENT

Our students participated in 1st State Level Open

and Children Chess Tournament 2019

organised by Gobi Arts and Science College,

Gobi on November 23, 2019. The following

students of our school won gold medal in the

respective categories. Under 10 Category -

K.Mathimugal class 5, E.Pranaya class 5,

Under 12 Category – Rithik class 7,

Pranavigha G.S. of class 8. Under 15 category

- Abirami V, Vedhanivashini V Sadhana P of class 8.

Our school also received the Best Supporting School Shield.

THULIR - STATE LEVEL COMPETITION

Of the 110 students from various Schools who took part in Thulir and Jantar Mantar Science

Quiz Competition held at Sri Sakthi

Engineering College, Karmadai on

November 23, 2019, Naveen Chander S M

of class 8, Guha Girish A K of class 7 and

Rishaan D Narasimhan of class 6 for Junior

category and Sriram K of class 10, Rohith J

and Arun Karthikeyan R of class 9 for

senior category have won the titles. In the

Divisional Level Quiz Competition held on November 30, 2019 at PKP Matriculation

Secondary School, Ganapathypalayam, Erode the same team won title again and were

qualified for the State level competition to be held at Chennai on the 8th

of December 2019.

DISTRICT LEVEL SILAMBAM CHAMPIONSHIP

Of the 120 students who took part under the

category 40 - 45 kg from various schools

Tiruchirappalli District Level Silambam

Championship in the Sub Junior category held at

Jamal Mohammed College, Trichirappalli.
