WEEK 3 YOUTH WEEKLY CHALLENGE One Thing: Satan Is No Match For The Righteousness Of God. Have you ever seen armor in person? What were your thoughts about the armor? We talked about body armor and what it was meant to do. What is physical body armor meant to do? What about spiritual body armor? What does that protect? How are you doing with putting on the armor of God daily? Do you find it difficult to put on the pieces of God’s armor? Which pieces have you found helped you the most daily? Share with someone how the armor of God has helped you lately. MON Our one thing to remember from last week was Satan Is No Match For The Righteousness Of God. The Body Armor of Righteousness guards our hearts. This is because Satan is trying to claim our heart and God guards our hearts from him. Create something or do something to show your image of guarding our hearts. Draw it, sculpt it, make a word cloud, make an animation of it, create the Body Armor of Righteousness, the possibilities are endless. When you’ve created it, share it with @aymtucson on Instagram or at [email protected]! TUE What would it look like to live in a way that was honorable to God? To live in righteousness? Grab your Bible or the Bible app and read Ephesians 6:13-14. Highlight things that stick out to you. Think about standing firm. What are you doing daily to prepare you and help you stand firm? When it comes to being mindful of the enemy and being prepared we can remember: Satan Is No Match For The Righteousness Of God. WED The armor of God is there for when our defenses fall. We have to protect and guard our hearts. Righteousness is the ability to live in perfect harmony with God. To be in right standing with Him, connected to Him, and honoring Him with how we live. GOD MAKES US RIGHTEOUS (Galatians 2:16). How can we do that? 1. Accept God’s Righteousness. When our own defenses fail, it’s the righteousness of God that keeps us safe. It’s what Jesus did for us. It’s His righteousness that brings us into a close relationship with Him. 2. Live In God’s Righteousness. Read Titus 2:12. Choose to live in a way that honors God even when it’s hard. Go against the norm and live in a way that helps us to stand firm and fight for our faith. Put on God’s armor every day. How are you doing with that? Make a plan to put it on every day! THU There are going to be moments when we fall, our defenses fail, and moments that seem too tough. There is nothing in this world that can compare to what God has done and His righteousness Take some time today to reach out to someone you feel needs someone to talk to. Call them. Tell them that you’re calling to check on how they’re doing! Tell them the truth about who they are. Tell them that they are wonderfully made in God’s image and that He loves them. Make a difference in their lives through helping them stand firm! FRI This weekend, we continue our series “Stand Firm” talking about how God helps us stand firm in peace. Invite a friend to join you for online service and chat with them afterwards about what you learned, what was interesting, and what was confusing! Make sure to also take this day to rest and recharge. SAT
