The SAROV Offshore is a merge of Double Eagle and Saab Seaeye technology that results in a hovering hybrid AUV/ROV with rugged design and large depth capability.
The SAROV Offshore family has all the advanced features of the SAAB military Hybrid AUV/ROVs combined with the rugged and proven Saab Seaeye technology. This adds up to vehicles with full 360 degrees manoeuvrability, interfaces for sensors and auxiliary equipment and extremely long excursion range. The SAROV Offshore also features:
• Exceptional operational depth of 3000 msw, with battery power allowing long range operations with full control using a thin fiberoptic tether.
• Full AUV functionality with obstacle avoidance and behaviour based control and underwater docking capability.
• Minimal deck footprint: same footprint as a smaller observation ROV.
• Redundant fault tolerant control system that allows for loss of individual thrusters.
• Non invasive self-diagnostics: each subsea component can be health-checked and interrogated for parameters such as power.
• Advanced autopilots: heading, depth, roll, roll stabilisation, altitude, station keeping, vector transition, obstacle avoidance and sonar target tracking.
• Remote internet interface for base and Saab technical support.
