ERGOGENIC AIDS, the means, method, substances, drugs or medical practices enhance performance in sport when taken or administered. Some ergogenic aids are legal and some are illegal.
Any means or method which is legally or illegally used by athlete for enhancing sports performance is called Ergogenic Aids.
Why Athletes and Exercisers Take DrugsPhysical reasons include:
enhance performancetreat injurylook bettercontrol appetite and lose weight
Psychological reasons include:escape from unpleasant emotions or stressbuild confidence or enhance self-esteemget buzzed/wasted or seek fun/ excitement“Winning”
