The rule of third is to imagine breaking an image down into third horizontally and vertically which result having 9 parts. Lines in photographs (Horizontal, vertical and diagonal or lead in Line): Horizontal: Horizontal lines are used by photographers to impart a sentiment of timelessness or lack of change in an image, they are used to create and provide a contrast with more dynamic to parts of an image. Vertical: Vertical lines project mood of stability or/and peace. They often function similarly to horizontal lines. This lengthens the vertical subject further which emphasize the height of the subject.

Rule of third: The rule of third is a rule in photography used as a guideline for the process of composing visual images. The rule of third is to imagine breaking an image down into third horizontally and vertically which result having 9 parts.

Lines in photographs (Horizontal, vertical and diagonal or lead in Line):

Horizontal: Horizontal lines are used by photographers to impart a sentiment of timelessness or lack of change in an image, they are used to create and provide a contrast with more dynamic to parts of an image.

Head in line: Leading in lines photography are used to focus the viewer’s eye through a photograph. They can be intentional or unintentional.

What is a balanced shot?

A balanced shot is a technique in Photography which juxtaposes images within frame so that the objects are equal visual weight. The parts of the image needs to be balanced so it can be pleasant for the viewer eye.

What is a dynamic shot?

A dynamic composition is when the composition creates dynamism or excitement to the viewer’s eye with diagonals lines that are often unsettled.
