SANDHURST PRIMARY SCHOOL

Sandhurst is a good school Its strengths lie in the way it promotes pupils’ good behaviour, healthy lifestyles and understanding of their local communityThe school has strong leadership of the Headteacher, supported by well motivated staff who enjoy being part of the school (Ofsted Sep 2011)

The main school was founded in 1909 and sits in beautiful grounds in the heart of the Weald of Kent. Our location is very important to us as it provides a useful and natural extension to our teaching facilities. Our environment also provides a vast playground, where children are trusted and encouraged to explore safely as well as a dedicated woodland area which we use regularly for teaching and learning.

We have been fortunate to attract an outstanding team of both new and experienced, qualified teachers and support staff, committed to listening to you and your child and making your family’s time with us as rewarding and fulfilling as possible.

Our children feel challenged within a happy, diverse community of learners. They are stretched at a time appropriate to them, producing their individual best without unwarranted or excessive pressure. The academic curriculum is enhanced by additional activities including cookery and learning using the outside environment. Our pupils achieve strong academic results and are successful in gaining entry to both Grammar School and Comprehensive schools in the local area.

We are proud to introduce pupils to their new schools, knowing that they have achieved their best and that they will make a significant contribution to life at their new school.
