In this session Join Miles Ripley and Desi Ivanova from EYrsquos Fraud Investigation practice will discuss recent
FCPA developments current enforcement priorities and what to expect in the coming year They will high-
light takeaways from enforcement actions and discuss what this means for the companyrsquos front-line gatekeep-
ers including internal audit and compliance The discussion will also cover common bribery schemes how to
recognize red flags and what questions to ask the increased importance of performing anti-corruption pro-
gram and risk assessments and conducting continuous monitoring for problematic activity and the role of In-

years of forensic accounting investigation and compliance experience specializing in accounting fraud brib-
ery and corruption integrity diligence and asset recovery investigations Miles has conducted investigations
around the globe during criminal and insolvency proceedings and presented findings to regulators including
Department of Justice (ldquoDOJrdquo) and Securities Exchange Commission (ldquoSECrdquo) In addition Miles has signifi-
cant experience in assisting clients with the design implementation and monitoring of anti-fraud and anti-
corruption compliance programs including conducting integrity diligence third party compliance audits risk
assessments and anti-corruption monitoring
Desi Ivanova ndash EY Sr Manager Investigations amp Compliance
Desi has spent the past 10 years of her career with the forensic investigations practice of EY where she spe-

then that cybersecurity is a hot topic and a major challenge in internal auditing today Cybersecuri-
ty is as much of a business risk as it is a security one making it critical for internal auditors to de-
velop the skill set needed to take on these challenges In this course you will develop an understanding of cybersecurity concepts that can be used to fa-

proved an alternate path to
eligibility for the Certified
Internal Auditor designa-
tion for candidates who do
not have a bachelorrsquos de-
gree from an accredited
university
Candidates may now be-
come eligible for the CIA
subject to approval if they
possess either
bull 2 years of post-
secondary education
and 5 years of verified
experience in internal
auditing or its equiva-
lent
bull 7 years of verified ex-
perience in internal
audit or its equivalent

NASBA The San Jose Chapter of the Institute of Internal Auditors is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a spon-sor of continuing profession-al education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit Complaints regarding registered spon-sors may be submitted to the N-tional Registry of CPE Sponsors through its website
