Marriages The love that spouses share in marriage is a testament of the image of God’s perfect love for humanity. Couples preparing for marriage should contact our priests at least eight months in advance. We will accompany our parishioners in their prepara on leading to their wedding day and married life.

This weekend with the celebra on of the Epiphany of the Lord we appreciate the cultural diversity of our parish and at the same me the expression of our unity, as we all worship in the Eucharist our Lord Jesus Christ. This year’s Epiphany is par cular-ly meaningful as our Bishop, Most Reverend Felipe J. Estevez, installs me as Pastor of San Jose Parish. Reyes Magos
Melchor, Gaspar y Baltasar Estás ante la fiesta más an gua, incluso antes que la misma Navidad.
El inicio de su celebración data del siglo III en el Oriente y en el Occidente se adoptó en el siglo IV. En este día ene lugar la celebración de tres hechos memo-rables en la historia de la salvación: adoración de los Reyes Magos, el Bau smo de Jesús y el primer milagro de Jesucris-to en la bodas de Caná, gracias al cual los discípulos creye-ron en el Maestro. Los Occidentales aceptaron la fiesta el año 400. Aunque habla de los Magos, el rey principal es el Niño Jesús. Lo dice el inicio de la Misa:" Ya viene el Señor del universo, en sus manos está la realeza, el poder y el imperio. El verdadero rey al que debemos contemplar es al pequeño Jesús". El misterio de la Epifanía lo subraya Mateo diciendo que los Magos vinieron para destacar las profecías que hablaban de su nacimiento, y el ofrecimiento de oro, incienso y mirra es el reconocimiento implícito de su realeza mesiánica. Los Magos para los orientales son gente docta; en lengua persa, mago significa “sacerdote”. Pero la Biblia, en general, llama a estos Magos Reyes extranjeros. Es la fiesta de la santa Epifanía de nuestro Señor, Dios y Salvador Jesucristo lo que, de una forma sencilla y admira-ble, se le da a conocer a los Magos llegados de Oriente. Su adoración es la clave de este día. Desea la Iglesia que la luz de hoy sea el tema central del creyente. Están bien los regalos que se hacen a niños y ma-yores. Pero lo fundamental no debe dejarse aparcado para dar paso a lo más fes vo, alegre y superficial. ¡Felicidades a los Reyes Magos y a los que lleven los nom-bres de Melchor, Gaspar y Baltasar!

Bautismos El Bau smo es el Sacramento de la vida nueva que reci-bimos de Cristo y la celebración gozosa de bienvenida a nuevos miembros de nuestra Iglesia. Acercar a un niño al bau smo implica un compromiso de fe y vida para los papás, padrinos y la comunidad entera. Los Padres que quieran bau zar a sus hijos, son invitados a registrarse en nuestra Parroquia y recibir la preparación bau smal. Por favor llámenos a la extensión 108 para más informa-ción.
Matrimonios El amor que los esposos en Matrimonio, refleja el amor perfecto de Dios por la humanidad. Las parejas que deseen prepararse para el Matrimonio llamen al Sacer-dote al menos 8 meses antes de la boda. Queremos acompañarte en la preparación para el día de la boda y en tu vida Matrimonial.
