Gandhiji led an arduous life. His simplicity, his completely rural attire was a token of his compassion. Great people of the world were inspired with his thoughts. His charkha was a symbol of self- sufficiency. To understand his thoughts, students also weaved the threads on Charkha and took experience of being with Gandhiji. After visiting the different vibrant programmes on the life and works of Mahatma, parents spontaneously came to Gandhi Kaladan and drew pictures of Mahatma Gandh. Students also accompanied their parents.These pictures put on the Picture Wall. Prabhat's Art & Craft Department Head Dinsh Patil and Yogesh Wikhe, Mangesh Shingnath and others took efforts. Parents also shared their views on the Wall of Literature. Again, they gave their encouraging remarks, which they put in the feedback boxes. They liked the innovate concept of celebrating the 150 th Birth Anniversary Year of Mahatma Gandhi. Mahatma Gandhi is not to be discovered in books alone. He has to be discovered in our heart. Keeping this vibrant thought in mind, Prabhat organized a grand festival Gandhi 150 to celebrate 150 th Birth Anniversary Year at Prabhat Kids School. The complete programme gave a true glimpse of Gandhi. Under the guidance of Prabhat's Hon. Director Dr. Gajanan Nare and Mrs. Vandana Nare, team Prabhat work relentlessly for the success of the programme. But what was creditable in the whole event, was the SRC Members superb coordination. The complete SRC team work relentlessly for the success of the event. Head Boy Abhay Awachar, Head Girl Nandini Rathi, Assistant Head Boy Sannet Khadse, Assistant Head Girl Suhani Jajoo and other SRC members Aditya Raut, Yashovardhan Jumale, Samiksharaje Khumkar, Nirzary Pundkar, Tamanud Ghule, Prashik Gopnarayan, Sanika Jumale, Kirti Sawarkar, Anoushka Joshi, Parth Nawkar, Aarya Waghode, Pracheta Mukund, Om Bharambe, Piyush Ingle and Samira Kolhe took efforts for the success of the programme. The complete activity was enjoyed by students, parents and the staff of Prabhat Kids School. It was an event to revisit the Mahatma. 150 th Birth Anniversary Year of Mahatma Gandhi Saluting the Mahatma Mahatma Gandhi epitomized the freedom struggle and an ardent quest for peace. His frail body worked relentlessly on his moral conviction. His spirit, convictions and the quest for peace were weaved into the gentle tunes of Bhajan and songs presented by the students of Music Department. The students weaved the musical spell by chanting Gandhiji’s favourite Bhajans ‘Ragupati Raghav’ and ‘Vaishnav Jan’. They also sang ‘Sabarmati ke Sant’and ‘Bande Me Tha Dam’Shreya Bakal, Vaishnavi Khaire, Akshara Patekar, Samiksha Charve, Bhoomi Mishra, Sanchita Lahole, Sharwari Ahir, Shruti Patil, Vasudha Ghugul, Swaresh Chapke, Nishad Dhokane, Sanchita Shirsat sang the different Bhajans and songs. Aditya Waghmare accompanied the singers on Casio. Music Department Teachers Prabhudas Bhagat, Vijay Wahokar and Atul Dongre guided the students. The whole even was beautifully coordinated by Samiksharaje Khumkar and Suhani Jajoo while SST Dept in-charge Raghav Kulkarni assisted them in their task. Weaving the Symphonies of Mahatma At the opening venue, Gandhi Vichar Sabha attarcted the parents. It was platform for students and parents to share their views on Mahatma Gandhi. Sanika Jumale, Anoushka Joshi, Sarthak Barbude delivered their speeches. Again, Head Girl Nandini Rathi and other SRC members used the platform to inform the parents about different programmes underway at Prabhat. Indian Freedom struggle was unique in the World history. It was fought with the weapon of Truth and Non-violence. Mahatma Gandhi spread the spirit of fearlessness through his actions. Prabhatians enacted Mahatma Gandhi’s struggle. The activities were conceptualized by SST Department. Skits on Champaran Satyagrah, Salt March (Civil isobidence), Non- Cooperation Movement were presented on the occasion. Harsh Mankar, Atharv Mankar, Kumdini Deshmukh and Yash Deshmukh enacted an act from Hindi flick ‘Lage Raho Munnabhai’. Atharv Arbat, Aditi Raibole worked as the in-charge of the skits. Enacting the role of Mahatma Gandhi, Het Kariya presented an inspiring monologue. Shrayash Mantri, Chaitanya Patil, Sholk Biyani and Mihir Tale also enacted the role of the Mahatma. SST Dept Head Rahul Nilatkar and teachers took efforts for the success of the programmes. Activity in-charge Raghav Kulkarni assisted them in their task. Thoughts of Mahatma We Live Prabhatians also paid rich tributes to Gandhiji through soulful dances. Students presented dances on different Bhajans at a special venue made at the hall of Maths’ Lab. Dance Teacher Preety Pachgade choreographed dances. Primary students Shreya Chitlange, Priyal Bundele, Aaradhya Dhole, Mansi Dabhade, Pari Patil, Swara Awachar, Shruti Kale, Parth Chatarkar, Anmol Panjawani and Anuj Umale beautifully performed the dance. Pranjal Zatale, Ishawari Wakode, Snehal Chandurkar, Urvashi Jadhav, Radhai Sonone, Janhavi Mohod, Uditi Rathi and Tanisha Wakode also presented a rhythmic dance and won the applause. Highlighting Gandhian Thought, Prabhat’s Drama Activity students presented a soulful Mime. Tanvi Murumkar, Pranjali Chandan, Manasi Choudhari, Dhairya Sarda, Arya Dhole, Savani Kulkarni put an appealing performance. They took the message of pity, peace and love so gently to the hearts of spectators just through their lively actions. Similarly, Omsai Gawande, Ajinkya Hande, Vinay Mahalle, Sanskar Agrawal, Dhreej Soni and Vikas Sakhare also gave mesmerizing experience. Drama Activity Teacher Sanjay Patil directed the Mime, which was enjoyed by the parents and the students. Taking Gandhi to parents hearts, Prabhatians took a quiz on Mahatma Gandhi for parents, who happily responded to the students and boosted their budding talents. The budding anchors included Poonam Sawarkar Venushree Sharma, Atharv Tapadiya, Isha Korde, Bhoomi Rathod, Madhushree Dalvi, Mansvi Belsare, Ishawari Warhade, Sakshi Bule, Samruddhi Nakat, Tanvi Adkine, Falguni Vyaghrambare, Ishwari Pande, Janhavi Sathawane, Pranjali Chandan, Ishwari Sudke, Adwait Joshi, Digvijay Andhare and Vyankatesh Ghuge. They beautifully put the questions. Again, they welcomed the parents and informed them about the different programmes underway at the campus.
