Gandhiji led an arduous life. His simplicity, his completely ruralattire was a token of his compassion. Great people of the world wereinspired with his thoughts. His charkha was a symbol of self-sufficiency. To understand his thoughts, students also weaved thethreads on Charkha and took experience of being with Gandhiji.
After visiting the different vibrant programmes on the lifeand works of Mahatma, parents spontaneously came toGandhi Kaladan and drew pictures of Mahatma Gandh.Students also accompanied their parents.These pictures puton the Picture Wall. Prabhat's Art & Craft Department HeadDinsh Patil and Yogesh Wikhe, Mangesh Shingnath andothers took efforts. Parents also shared their views on the Wallof Literature. Again, they gave their encouraging remarks,which they put in the feedback boxes. They liked the innovateconcept of celebrating the 150th Birth Anniversary Year ofMahatma Gandhi.
Mahatma Gandhi is not to bediscovered in books alone. He has tobe discovered in our heart. Keepingthis vibrant thought in mind, Prabhatorganized a grand festival Gandhi 150to celebrate 150th Birth AnniversaryYear at Prabhat KidsSchool.
The completeprogramme gave atrue glimpse ofGandhi. Under theguidance ofPrabhat's Hon.Director Dr. Gajanan Nareand Mrs. Vandana Nare,team Prabhat work relentlessly for thesuccess of the programme. Saluting the Mahatma
Mahatma Gandhi epitomized thefreedom struggle and an ardent quest forpeace. His frail body worked relentlessly onhis moral conviction. His spirit, convictionsand the quest for peace were weaved into thegentle tunes of Bhajan and songs presentedby the students of Music Department.
The students weaved the musical spell bychanting Gandhiji’s favourite Bhajans‘Ragupati Raghav’ and ‘Vaishnav Jan’. Theyalso sang ‘Sabarmati ke Sant’and ‘Bande MeTha Dam’Shreya Bakal, Vaishnavi Khaire,Akshara Patekar, Samiksha Charve, BhoomiMishra, Sanchita Lahole, Sharwari Ahir, ShrutiPatil, Vasudha Ghugul, Swaresh Chapke, NishadDhokane, Sanchita Shirsat sang the differentBhajans and songs. Aditya Waghmareaccompanied the singers on Casio. Music
Department Teachers Prabhudas Bhagat, VijayWahokar and Atul Dongre guided the students.
The whole even was beautifully coordinatedby Samiksharaje Khumkar and Suhani Jajoo whileSST Dept in-charge Raghav Kulkarni assistedthem in their task.
Weaving the Symphonies of Mahatma
At the opening venue, GandhiVichar Sabha attarcted theparents. It was platform forstudents and parents to share theirviews on Mahatma Gandhi.Sanika Jumale, Anoushka Joshi,
Sarthak Barbude delivered theirspeeches. Again, Head GirlNandini Rathi and other SRCmembers used the platform toinform the parents about differentprogrammes underway at Prabhat.
Indian Freedom struggle was unique in theWorld history. It was fought with the weapon ofTruth and Non-violence. Mahatma Gandhi spreadthe spirit of fearlessness through his actions.Prabhatians enacted Mahatma Gandhi’s struggle.
The activities were conceptualized by SSTDepartment. Skits on Champaran Satyagrah, Salt
March (Civilisobidence),Non-CooperationMovement
were presented on the occasion. Harsh Mankar, Atharv Mankar, Kumdini
Deshmukh and Yash Deshmukh enacted an actfrom Hindi flick ‘Lage Raho Munnabhai’. AtharvArbat, Aditi Raibole worked as the in-charge of theskits. Enacting the role of Mahatma Gandhi, HetKariya presented an inspiring monologue.Shrayash Mantri, Chaitanya Patil, Sholk Biyaniand Mihir Tale also enacted the role of theMahatma. SST Dept Head Rahul Nilatkar andteachers took efforts for the success of theprogrammes. Activity in-charge Raghav Kulkarniassisted them in their task.
Thoughts of Mahatma We Live
Prabhatiansalso paid richtributes to Gandhijithrough soulful dances.Students presenteddances on different Bhajansat a special venue made at thehall of Maths’ Lab. DanceTeacher Preety Pachgadechoreographed dances.
Primary students Shreya Chitlange, Priyal Bundele, Aaradhya Dhole, Mansi Dabhade,Pari Patil, Swara Awachar, Shruti Kale, Parth Chatarkar, Anmol Panjawani and
Anuj Umale beautifully performed the dance. Pranjal Zatale, IshawariWakode, Snehal Chandurkar, Urvashi Jadhav, Radhai Sonone,
Janhavi Mohod, Uditi Rathi and Tanisha Wakode alsopresented a rhythmic dance and won the
applause.
Highlighting GandhianThought, Prabhat’s DramaActivity students presented asoulful Mime. TanviMurumkar, Pranjali Chandan,Manasi Choudhari, DhairyaSarda, Arya Dhole, SavaniKulkarni put an appealingperformance. They took themessage of pity, peace andlove so gently to the hearts of
spectators just through theirlively actions. Similarly,Omsai Gawande, AjinkyaHande, Vinay Mahalle,Sanskar Agrawal, Dhreej Soniand Vikas Sakhare also gavemesmerizing experience.Drama Activity TeacherSanjay Patil directed theMime, which was enjoyed bythe parents and the students.
Taking Gandhi to parentshearts, Prabhatians took a quizon Mahatma Gandhi for parents,who happily responded to thestudents and boosted theirbudding talents.
The budding anchorsincluded Poonam SawarkarVenushree Sharma, AtharvTapadiya, Isha Korde, BhoomiRathod, Madhushree Dalvi,Mansvi Belsare, IshawariWarhade, Sakshi Bule,Samruddhi Nakat, TanviAdkine, Falguni Vyaghrambare, IshwariPande, Janhavi Sathawane, PranjaliChandan, Ishwari Sudke, Adwait Joshi,Digvijay Andhare and Vyankatesh Ghuge.
They beautifully put the questions. Again,they welcomed the parents and informedthem about the different programmesunderway at the campus.

Graceful tiny-tots wrapped in Mahatma Gandhi's attire looked quite elegant. 24 students of Prabhat Pre-Primary School participatedin the Dandi March. Roshan Panjawani and Pranit Nagpure became Mahatma while Parinita Barapatre and Bhakti Holkar becameKasturba. Chanting the patriotic slogans, they took out rallies and brought a historic feel of the freedom struggle.
