Salutatorian Good afternoon everyone …please be seated…I would like to begin the 2013 commencement ceremony for Fishers High School with a moment of silence in honor of family members, friends, and others who could not be here with us today…thank you. Welcome to Fishers High School’s sixth annual commencement celebration. My name is Nathaniel Smith, and it is my honor to be the salutatorian for the class of 2013. On behalf of the entire class, I would like to thank everyone at Fishers high School – you have helped us achieve excellence throughout our high school journey, and we will always be grateful for your guidance. Thanks to the remarkable educators at Fishers High School, our class has achieved an unprecedented level of excellence. At the beginning of this year, our senior class president gave us one single goal: to “Win Everything.” Looking back, we have done an exceptional job pursuing this goal. Some of our numerous accomplishments include, but are not limited to: state champions for original performance in speech, first-place concert percussion, state wrestling champion, state-champion math and interdisciplinary academic teams, and Hamilton Southeastern School District’s most successful Riley Dance marathon ever, raising over $20,000 for Riley Children’s Hospital. This level of achievement would not have been accomplished without the efforts of every member of the senior class. I would like to thank the district administration as well as the members of the school board for being here to share this special occasion with us. At this time, I would like to introduce some distinguished guests. Please stand as I call your name. Audience, please hold your applause until everyone has been introduced.
