Avatar, an Eastern shipper, has a medium-open cavity. Featuring � rm, � avorful orange � esh, melons are generally 7 to 9 pounds and 8 inches by 7.5 inches. The exterior is light green and turns to a yellow-tan when fully ripe. Avatar is ideal for higher latitudes.

Bold Ruler is a high-quality seedless hybrid with early set in cool conditions. This crisp and sweet watermelon has a very high yield potential with excellent fruit uniformity. It weighs between 16 and 18 pounds and grows on a vigorous vine. Bold Ruler features bright red � esh with dense texture.

Charger is a very high-yielding determinate salad variety with a combination of TYLCV in-termediate resistance and Fol: 1-3 resistance. It shows wide adaptability for Eastern U.S. through Central America for markets requiring extra-large fruit. Fruit are very � rm and smooth shouldered with excellent color for mature green and vine ripe markets. Plants are medium to tall.

Emerald Jewel ClassicCheyenne

This large and very attractive cayenne pepper produces high yields of early maturing fruit on a compact plant. Cheyenne can be harvested 10 days to two weeks earlier than the stan-dard variety on the market with no sacri� ce in fruit quality.

New from Sakata, Classic is a green-to-red, high yielding bell with outstanding fruit quality, thick walls, and uniform blocky fruit. Classic approaches greenhouse quality in the open � eld. In addition, this bell pepper is resistant to bacterial spot races 1-3.

Emerald Jewel (SBC7540) is a small-beaded, smooth-headed, clean-stemmed, multi-use variety that is especially suited for crown cut. The maturity can be quite late during cold conditions, so a late spring or early summer is suggested with late fall harvests. Emerald Jewel has intermediate resistance to some races of clubroot.

Red JewelPolaris (AF7514)Ovation

A late intermediate yellow that transitions into the long day Spanish type. Ovation has � rmness and excellent skin retention. Globe shaped, sizes range from jumbo to colossal. Ovation cuts a high percentage of single centers. It is adapt-able and grower friendly. In the Paci� c Northwest and Colorado it is a true intermediate. In California and New Mexico this is a good transitional variety.

Polaris (AF7514) is a medium-sized, tradition-ally shaped, Waltham-type butternut squash used mainly for the fresh market. This strong, vigorous plant yields a high number of very uniform size and shaped fruit per plant, with a smooth tan exterior and bright-orange interi-or. Polaris also has shown good tolerance to cracking.

Red Jewel cabbage is a high-yielding hybrid with uniform maturity. This red cabbage variety offers a deep red head with a short core and is ideal for both fresh and shredder markets. Red Jewel matures early and is of good size and color.
