Focus School Requirements

• Designate a district contact• Review ESEA Turnaround Principals and Critical

Success Factors• Should have included in 2013-2014 CIP, no less than

one instructional intervention targeted at closing existing achievement gaps; and

• Include reason for identification of intervention and fully implement in 2014=2015

If IR and Focus, embed interventions from here into required improvement plans.

Priority (Non-TTIPS)

• Designate a DCSI• Participate in required training provided by TEA,

TCDSS and attend AIE Conference. In addition to any training specific to the grant.

• Engage in TAIS process, evaluate current school staff and create a plan which should have been submitted at the end of the 2013-14 school year that addresses the turnaround principles. This plan, based on the principles, will be fully implemented by the school in 2014-15 school year.
