Calling All Ministry Leaders St. Rose of Lima will hold a Ministry Fair on the weekend of January 25 & 26. Please begin planning what literature and supplies you would like to display in your booth. Invite others to be included in your planning. The Ministry Fair will be one way in which our parish works to renew Stewardship in January. It is a great opportunity to welcome other people to bring their gifts to our ministries. Any questions, contact Theresa Fugardi: [email protected] or 508-393-2413.

Pray the Rosary…

Praying of the Rosary will take place on Thursday evenings at 6:15 PM in the Church. In praying the Rosary, we include the petitions and intentions of our parishioners, the ministries of our parish, the prayers of our community and world. By praying the Rosary, we reach out and offer spiritual support to our brothers and sisters who are in need.

The Rosary Ministry is a great way for parishioners of all ages to have an active part in our Church community.

Please join us!

The Legacy of Hope Campaign

As we ring in the new year, we would like to thank all of the parishioners who have already donated to the Legacy of Hope Campaign. Even during the busy weeks of December, donations were numerous, bringing us to an amazing total of $990,635. We are so blessed for our community of generous and committed parishioners!

The campaign is not over. There is still the opportunity to contribute. In the months and years ahead, we will keep you posted on the benefits we will all reap from our Legacy of Hope success. Best wishes for a new year filled with many blessings! Thank you all, so very much.

Maureen Scholl, Chairperson and the Legacy of Hope Committee

Baptism of the lord

Before Jesus began his special work for God, he went to the River

Jordan, asking his cousin, John the Baptist, to baptize him. He really didn’t need to be baptized, did he? Jesus wanted to show us God’s plan for all of us and that something new and exciting was about to happen.

Again, congratulations to our college students and best of luck in your next semester at school.

The long awaited Christmas Season is almost complete with this weekends celebration of the Baptism of Jesus and the beginning of His public ministry among the people! Soon we will take down all the decorations, put the statues of Jesus, Mary, Joseph, etc., away for another year. I often think that as we move into the new year, will we leave Jesus behind? Now his new home must be in our hearts and lives, as we take on Jesus’ ministry here on earth.

Do not be afraid! He travels with you and promises to enable you and strengthen you with the Holy Spirit. May we all work together to continue to build a world of peace and justice for all!! Please pray for peace. Christmas Decorations … Our church was beautiful these past weeks for the awesome birth of Jesus. I am always so grateful to all who helped decorate our worship space and grateful to all who served in any way. All of your efforts helped several thousand people to worship Jesus, welcome Him into their lives and homes. Thank you for sharing your gifts of time, talent and treasure. Happy New Year!
