SIXTEENTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME
1) Jeremiah 23:1-6 2) Ephesians 2:13-18 3) Mark 6:30-34 FOCUS: God wants us to be in his peace. Our Lord insists that we take time to be still and rest in him. As difficult as it is to just stop and be still, it is important to make the time to be refreshed and to rest in the Lord’s peace. LITURGY OF THE WORD: In Jeremiah, God discloses that bad shepherds will be pun-ished and a good shepherd assigned to care for the people. The second reading talks about the peace we have in Jesus Christ. In the Gospel, Jesus insists that the Apostles take time to rest and be rejuvenated, for the need to care for the followers is great.
AATTENTION: NEIGHBORS AND PARISHIONERS
Someone is dumping household trash in front of the Bowling Alley at Bancroft and Shunk. Our school and bowling alley are both closed for the Summer.
What little trash we have is picked up by a sanitation company. We ask your help if you see someone dumping, please call the police and try to get a
plate # or a description and let us know and we will prosecute.
We ask the Bancroft Neighbors not to send unsigned emails because we will ignore them. If you identify
yourself, we will be glad to work along with you.
