MANY thanks to all who participated in Friday's Annual Advent Night celebration, participating in funshops, making goodie boxes for our shut-ins, hanging decorations, and caroling around the tree. If you haven't already noticed, we have a new Family Tree in our Commons. While we'll still enjoy the more formal Chrismon-decorated tree in the sanctuary, we've put up the Family Tree to symbolize our diverse and loving family of believers. And.....if you weren't able to attend Advent Night, we'd love to have you and your family as part of this new tree; so please feel free to bring a family (or individual) ornament to hang on this tree. It'll be so much fun to see what everyone chooses to bring, and at the end of the season, we'll store all of the ornaments, bringing them out again next year and adding as we add new church members. Merry Christmas, everyone!
What a joy it is to decorate the sanctuary tree with all the
beautiful Chrismons we've made over the years, each one
a symbol of Christian joy and peace. The tree will be
decorated on Thursday, December 8th, at 10:00 a.m. We
need lots of help, so join us if you can. Any questions, call
Jan Straka.
Lay Staff Christmas – Each year at this time, we have the
opportunity to give to our STAFF Members. These are the people
that keep our church on track and running. Yes, they get a paycheck,
but they all go above and beyond for our church. It would be so
wonderful for us to do the same for them. Please join with me and
take a pew envelope and enclose a check, some cash, some spare change…Let us
show our love to them. So, please, let’s all follow Proverbs 3:27 if it is in our
power to do so. Merry Christmas to you all! Aram Kermoyan
SPIRITED 50’s - This month we’ll be gathering in Ouimette Hall on Saturday, December 10 starting at 6:00 P.M. Our program will be celebrating the birth of Christ. Hosts for the evening will be the Kecks & the Miners, and Louise Frye will be playing the piano so we can sing our familiar Christmas Carols. We will also exchange a Christmas gift; if you want to play, bring a $10 gift to exchange. Along with the dessert that will be furnished, you are asked to bring an appetizer to share. Please sign up on the sheet in our usual spot on the wall next to the phone, or call Stan at 619-7775 or Carolyn at 929-1121 so they can appropriately plan for the correct number.

CHRISTMAS GIFT GIVING ALTERNATIVE –
TODAY IN THE COMMONS - An
Alternative Gift Giving Fair for Christmas is
being offered in the Commons area on TODAY
from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm. So many of us
have people on our Christmas lists that are
difficult to shop for because they already have
most of what they need or want. This Christmas Fair is your chance to
support a charitable cause in honor of those on your Christmas list.
WHAT AN AMAZING WAY TO SPREAD GOD’S LOVE TO THOSE IN
NEED THROUGHOUT THE WORLD WHILE HONORING OUR LOVED
ONES AT CHRISTMAS!!! At our Alternative Gift Giving Fair for
Christmas, several charitable organizations will be featured: Heifer
International - make a donation to purchase farm animals to sustain
small farms in Africa; the Zozu Project - Donations can be made to
support the building and furnishing of a new preschool or to sponsor one
of the remaining first grade children. In addition, native made jewelry
items will be sold; Lifewater International, based in San Luis Obispo, is
committed to providing safe, clean water around the world; the Five
Cities Christian Women’s Food Pantry; and the Homeless Coalition.
Each of these non-profits will be available for you to make a Christmas
gift donation in the name of a loved one. All donations are tax
deductible. This event is sponsored by the Social Outreach Services
team. We hope you will come and support our efforts to share in the
true spirit of Christmas by giving meaningful gifts to our loved ones and
at the same time helping those who need our help the most.
POINSETTIAS FOR THE SANCTUARY DURING THE
CHRISTMAS SEASON
Please help decorate the Sanctuary during our Christmas
Season by donating in “Memory of a loved one,” “Celebrating”
or “Honoring a special person.” We will print all the names on

your special offering of $7.00 marked “Poinsettias” along with your Contribution #.
