From the Pastor’s Desk

My dear parishioners,

The Gospel of this Sunday invites us to be rich to what matters to God. The man in the parable stored treasures for himself, but did not give his heart to God. He put his heart where his wealth was, instead of entrusting himself to

God. At the end, God rejected him and his wealth did not save his soul. The Lord’s conclusion is clear: “Thus will it be for all who store up treasure for them-selves but are not rich in what matters to God.” In our everyday life, we should put God above all things and seek his will at all times, because our salvation comes from him alone, through the sacrifice of His only begotten Son. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Fr. Peter Nimo for his generosity in ministering to our parish for the month of July. Fr. Peter is pretty familiar with St. Catherine of Genoa and has built good rela-tionships with many of our parishioners. He is always happy to come to our parish during the summer and minister to us. We pray and hope that he will return to us next summer. In the meantime, we welcome Fr. Adrien Ntwa who will be with us for the month of August. This is Fr. Adrien’s first time at St. Catherine of Genoa. We pray that he will have a wonderful pastoral experience at this “home of faith away from home.” God bless you always.

Fr. Raphael

Living in Faith and do-ing the good works of our Lord, as a way of life, flows like a river from hearts that have gained this wisdom."
