Complete Demolition Ltd. safe systems of work and is prepared in accordance with the requirements of section 5.2.3 of British Standard 6187 Code of practice for full and partial demolition, and Regulation 20 of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulation 2015 and is intended to be used as a guide for the safe execution of this contract.

SCOPE OF WORKS

Location: Global Switch, Sudlows Office, Saffron Avenue, London, E14 2AX

TASK METHOD

SAFETY HOLD POINT

Only authorised personnel will be permitted to carry out these works.

The supervisor will ensure that an exclusion zone is established as per Section-13 of BS 6187:2011 Code of Practice for Full and Partial Demolition and DRG 110: National Federation of Demolition Contractors (NFDC) guidance not for exclusion zones is in place to maintain safe working zone around all working areas before works are permitted to progress.

SITE SUPERVISOR/MANAGER SIGNATURE DATE

• Operatives will approach the walls showing extreme care.

• Operatives working from the return end will insert the strong boy props under the timber door jamb. The operatives

will introduce the prop below the door frame/ stud section, gently tightening the prop to transfer the load to the

ground. (The strong boy props will take a load of 340kgs. Plasterboard weight is 16kg per m2 for double skinned

12.5 mm board.)

• Operatives will work towards the cut end installing the strong boys at each of the cut c-stud ends taking care to

ensure the load remains linear with straight load path.

• Access to height will be gained by a PASMA tower built by competent person with an up to date certification of

competence, floors will be boarded out where required.

Only access to height required will be gained through the use of a temporary alloy scaffold tower which will be constructed by a P.A.S.M.A. trained operative.

• Operatives will approach the working area showing extreme care.

• Operatives will be working from the fixed end using battery operated/electrical screw guns drill *8x4 (Or equivalent)

25mm boarding onto the plaster board wall at 300mm from the floor level to above the cut line to re-secure the c-

studs.

Ensure all sections are secured before the works advance.

• If required further screws will be fixed at closer intervals.

• Operatives using hand tools (Electric reciprocating saws) will, working from the PASMA towers cut into small

sections at the supporting clips and remove the cable trays to provide access to the walls.

• Operatives, starting from the cut end using electrical reciprocating saws cut the plaster boards sheets at the point

between the c-studs to reduce the weight of the sections dropping the plaster to the floor.

• Once the plaster has been removed the c-stud sections will be cut and dropped to the ground. Once the sections has

been removed the ceiling channel will be cut and dropped before moving onto the next section.

• Operatives will follow on the method detailed in phase 2.

• Operatives will remove the plaster board sections across the wall line moving from the free end to the fixed end to

ensure structural stability. The plaster will only be removed down to timber sheeting.

• Once the upper plaster is removed the operatives will cut the lower sections including the timber sheets before

removing the c-stud.

• As the plaster work is supported by the galvanised ducting no further support work is required.

• Operatives will gain access via PASMA tower.

• Operatives, using electrical reciprocating saws, will cut the plaster board from the end still infilled with plaster

working towards the open end systematically reducing the weight as the frame and c-studs are exposed.

• Once the c-studs are exposed the steel frame work will be cut out and dropped to the floor.

• Operatives will cut out any further unsupported sections following the same method until the site if returned to a

safe condition.
