NOTE: The M&P®15-22 Pistol is designed to be held and fired by using one hand. The M&P®15-22 Pistol is shipped from the factory equipped with a stabilizing arm brace to facilitate one-handed firing. The stabilizing arm brace is designed to be used by loosening the adjustable nylon strap and inserting the forearm through the brace, taking hold of the pistol grip with the firing hand and then adjusting the nylon strap around the user’s forearm for a comfortable fit. The arm may then be extended to fire the pistol in the normal manner. Alterations to the M&P®15-22 Pistol, such as replacement of the stabi-lizing arm brace with a butt-stock, removing the arm-strap, or installation of a vertical fore-grip, will subject the firearm to regulation under the National Firearms Act (NFA), as well as state and local laws. It is the duty of the M&P®15-22 Pistol user to understand and comply with all applicable Federal, state and local laws. Consult the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (website: www.atf.gov) or your local law enforcement agency for more information.
