Newsletter Term 1 week 11 Hello Everyone,

Yesterday was Barb Gifford’s last day in the office. Retirement beckons. I know that Barb has been an integral part of the fabric of Coraki Public School for many years. It will be very strange for all of you to visit Coraki Public School and not be greeted with Barbs welcoming smile. I have only been here for a short time , but I know how very important Barb has been to everyone at Coraki PS and the wider community. Barb will be sorely missed and we wish her all the best for her retirement. We also know that Barb will certainly still be a huge part of Coraki PS and we look forward to her visiting us and helping with the many questions we know we will be calling her about. Congratulations BARB from your Coraki PS family.

Coraki Public School has had some work going on to our grounds lately. We have had our basketball court resurfaced and a new fence erected around the back car park. We are also looking forward to our flagpole being restored to its former glory in coming weeks. Our amazing staff are preparing wonderful home learning packs for our stu-dents and making connections everyday by phone and online platforms. We have also been posting interesting things on our Facebook page. Last week Miss De Maria and I did the Macarena for Fun Fitness Friday and we posted the video so the students could get active and hopefully have the whole family join in. We are certainly lucky we have the capacity to connect with each other in this challenging time .

This week the staff have been dressing up each day in some crazy outfits. We have been posting these photos on Facebook for your viewing pleasure. Yesterday was TUTU Tuesday, today was Wacky Wednesday and tomorrow will be Crazy Hat Thursday. Make sure you check out the Facebook page.

Tomorrow we have holiday fun packs available for you to pick up when you drop off the Home Learning Pack to be marked. In the COLA area there will be 4 large tubs with your child’s class indicated on the front. Place the home learning pack in the tub and see the office for your Holiday Fun Pack. There may even be a little chocolate treat inside.

Great Prizes In Fishy Colouring-In Comp! Here’s a great way to keep your junior fishos entertained and busy.

Save and print out this image and get kids aged 12 and under busy with their crayons and pencils. Once they’ve

completed their artistic endeavours, scan and email the completed work of art to us at fish.care@dpi.nsw.gov.au.

All entries will go into the draw to win one of 10 fantastic rod and reel prizes!

Make sure you include the artist’s name, age and address. Get the entries in by COB 20 May 2020.
