Youth Volunteers Needed March 20, April 3

Sacred Heart youth are being asked to assist with 2020 Knights of Columbus Lenten Fish Frys, as we did last year. We need 6 youth for each event to help clear tables, wash dishes, etc. Youth can arrive as early as 4:45 and stay as late as 7:15, as cleanup is finished. The meals are from 5-7pm. There are 7 frys total; our youth are being asked to work 4 (Feb 21, Mar 6, Mar 20, Apr 3). Not only is this a great way for youth to work alongside Knights to help with these fundraisers that support the community, but also Knights will donate specifically to the youth account, which in turn funds camps, NCYC, family so-cials and more. Teens can use volunteer work for service hours if needed. Parents are WELCOME to come and help, too! When you arrive, just check in with a Knight (such as Duane Kliethermes) to ask where help is most needed. Contact Melissa Albertson if you have questions: 573-392-8247 and sign up for one or move frys at signupgenius.com/go/5080C4DADAA2EAAF94-kclenten.

Please pray for the restored good health of these members of our Parish Family:

Please pray for the needs of the following relatives and friends of our Parish Family:

During this cold and flu season all parishioners are re-minded to use common good sense. Out of an abundance of caution, those who are ill should stay home. Those who have weak or compromised im-mune systems (i.e., the elderly, the infirmed, infants and young children) should consider avoiding large gatherings. In this flu season, this means their obliga-tion to attend Mass is lifted by the bishop. In consideration of the severity of the flu season, we are suspending the distribution of the Precious Blood at Mass. We also ask that people use a bow to greet one another in the Sign of Peace, instead of a handshake, and forego the holding of hands at the Lord’s Prayer. We pray for the health and recovery of all who are ill and not with us today. We encourage those who are home to join the community by praying the Sunday Scriptures, using the readings located at www.diojeffcity.org, and perhaps praying the Rosary or the Divine Chaplet.
