We were blessed with the weather and everyone had a great day. Special mention to our winning team Taylor, who came from behind late in the day to take a resounding win. Congratulations also to Lee who won the field events and received the Spirit Award for the best organised team. To Miss Wise and all of her helpers, well done and thank you. Special thanks to Mrs Biundo and her team of helpers who organised the sausage sizzles and also Mr Brendon Maine who helped out with the set up, and pack up on the day. Final Scores were: Taylor 1474 Hewitt 1332 Lee 1327 Henley 1323 We have had a number of visitors over the last two weeks, who have wanted to see our contemporary classrooms in action. We had visitors from St Benedicts School Board and P&F last Friday, a teacher from St Thomass Margaret River last Wednesday. We also have visitors from Geraldton and Bassendean coming next Tuesday. On Sunday at the Family mass we have a number of children receiving the Eucharist for the first time. We hope and pray that they enjoy and remember this special day. Thanks to all of the teachers who have had a part in the preparation of these children over the last 6 years at school. Some of this content was also used recently at the Catholic Schools Curriculum Conference which was attended by over 1000 teachers from across the state. P&F Meeting: Wednesday 17th September 2014 in the School Library at 7.30pm. Fathers’ Day Breakfast : A special thank you to all the kindy families who helped make this year’s Fathers’ Day Breakfast such a success, particularly to Jasmine Johnson and Sheryl Jonescu for their co-ordination leading up to and on the day. Fathers’ Day IGA Sausage Sizzle: The P&F also thanks all the families who helped make this event such a success ! Thank you for your fabulous cakes, biscuits and slices – all of which were sold. Thank you to the parents and children who manned the cake stall and barbeque – in not great weather ! A special thank you again to Jasmine Johnson, Sheryl Jonescu, Brendan Maine and Clairly Lance, and of course to IGA Second Ave ! The cake stall raised $550 for the Shanti School in India and the sausage sizzle raised approx. $630 for the P&F !
