A beautiful statue of the Blessed Mother is now circulating among the parishioners of Sacred Heart. If you would like that statue in your home, please call the parish office to select a date. The statue will be brought to you on Saturday and will stay in your home for one week. While the Blessed Mother is resident in your home, it is our wish that you place her in a place of significance and that you and

your family pray the rosary before her every day. Hopefully the Blessed Mother’s statue will visit every family in our Sacred Heart parish.

Prayer for Students and Teachers Jesus, we ask your help as all students and teachers begin a new school year. Allow them to experience your presence in the many blessings you put before them. Open their eyes to new challenges and exciting opportunities that this new school year will bring to them. Open their hearts and minds to new friends and teachers. Jesus, inspire them to do their best this year. God bless our Junior Catholic Daughters in a special way Amen.

Legion of Mary September 15 is the feast of Our Lady of Sorrows. The Legion of Mary invites you to join them to recite the rosary in honor of the Blessed Mother’s feast day on Tuesday, September15 at 7:00 pm in the church. A PRAYER TO ST. CORONA, PATRONESS OF

EPIDEMIC VICTIMS

Lord Jesus Christ, You came into this world for our salvation. Look kindly on us now, we pray, that we, and all those who serve You, might be kept safe from this

epidemic. Heal those who are sick, comfort the suffering, bring back those who have gone astray, and above all, increase our faith, O Lord. Give us the grace

to follow You and, like the martyr, St. Corona, who gave her life for love of You, to take up our crosses

daily without fear or hesitation. Lord Jesus Christ, Son of the living God, have mercy on us and on the whole

world. Help Needed at our Food Pantry! Over the past 24 weeks we have been blessed with fabulous volunteers running our food pantry. Now, thankfully, many of them have returned to work and have left us with an enormous need. Help is especially needed making weekly trips to the Food Bank of the Hudson Valley, utilizing our Parish Trucks on Monday and Wednesday mornings at 7:00 am. We also need strong individuals who can help us carry food boxes out to the vehicles of clients picking up their weekly food. Please contact Betsy at [email protected] if you can help. Thanks you so very much. Take care of your body as if you were going to live forever; and take care of your soul as if you were going to die tomorrow. St. Augustine
