Our parish has an active Pastoral Visiting Team. If you are ill, lonely, a shut-in or hospitalized and wish to receive the Eucharist or a visit, let the parish know either through yourself, your family, friend, neighbor or nurse.

NOTICE: Father Wojciech is doing daily masses on his own time at the rectory during the
weekdays. There will be no weekday evening masses at the school until further notice.

Please feel free to email or call the office during office hours: pro-
vide your name, address & telephone number, to ensure that your
donations are included in your tax deductible receipts at year end.
New envelopes are to be picked up at the office.
Sacred Heart Parish accepts direct deposits!
Donations are debited on the first Wednesday of each month or
the next business day. If you are interested, please fill out the PAD
Agreement form, available from our website under Donations and
mail it to the parish office. Thank you for your continuous support

PARISH SACRAMENTS
Baptism:
Baptisms are set every last Sunday of the month, and the Tuesday
of the week before that for Baptismal Preparation Classes. The
classes will be after the 7:00PM mass at Holy Cross Collegiate in
the Foods Room. Please call the office 2 months prior your chosen
date to register, or if Baptism will be held at another parish.
**During summer (July & August), there will be no Baptisms. The
next date to be scheduled for baptism will be on September. Marriage Preparation:
Please call or email the office to make an appointment with Father
at least four months prior to your wedding date. Please, do not
finalize dates before speaking to the Priest.
Reconciliation/Confession Time: at 4:30PM on Saturday
(before Mass). Also available upon request or by appointment.
First Eucharist/First Reconciliation:
This is for those who are in Grade 2 and up. Classes usually start at the beginning of the year. This year 2018, the Holy
Sacrament mass is on Sunday May 13th,2018 at 10:00am
Confirmation:
Confirmation is celebrated every other year in our parish
(2014, 2016, 2018…) Classes have begun for 2018 and the
Confirmation Mass will be on Saturday April 28th, 2018 at
11:00am with our Bishop William McGrattan
RCIA, RCIY, RCIC:
The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults program runs yearly
from Fall to Easter of the following year. Please call or email
the parish office to speak with Father before August if
interested in attending.

Building Committee Update
Meeting Summary – June 14, 2018
1. Building Committee Presentation to the Parish June 10th - Debrief
Well attended 150-175 parishioners estimated count
Positive feedback overall
Several comments about the need to have a strong fund-raising effort going forward
Overall impression was that the parish was eager to move forward
2. Maintenance committee update
Volunteers are looking after the grass cutting over the summer
No issues currently with the IGA site
Internal decommissioning of the building is 90% complete. There is a plan to complete the work. A huge
thank you to all the volunteers that participated in this effort.
3. Other Information
The Design Development Phase of the New Church project is now complete
4. Next Steps
The Building committee made a motion to recommend proceeding with the Construction Drawing Phase
of the project.
An updated proposal will be completed by the Building Committee and the Finance Committee, to be pre-
sented to the Diocese, to seek their approval in moving forward with the Construction Drawing Phase.
5. A presentation will be developed to place at the back of the Church with some of the Design drawing and artis-
tic ideas.

Sacred Heart Academy is now accepting Online Registration
Inquiries for Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 6. Please go to our web-
site at www.sacredheartacademy.ca and click on REGISTER
and then BEGIN REGISTRATION INQUIRY and then continue to
follow the prompts and directions.
Co-Op & Sobeys Gift Cards We are continuing to sell cards in $50 and $100 denominations.
They can be used at both the grocery store and the gas bar (for
Co-op cards). We now have a debit and credit card machine,
and we also accept cash or cheques. Cheques should be made
payable to Sacred Heart Parish. Please contact Donna Johnson at

PLEASE HELP: I need someone that is willing to sell grocery cards
on Saturday nights from now till the end of July. You need to know
how to use the credit card and debit machine. It isn’t difficult. You can
learn in about 15 minutes. Please call Donna at 403-934-5984
CWL Rose by the Altar
If you or someone you know from our parish has recently had a baby, the CWL would like to welcome you and your newest addi-
tion to the parish community! We do this by placing a rose by the altar during Mass, and presenting it to your family at the end of
