benefits the programs and ministries throughout our diocese.

    ST. LAWRENCE RUIZ AND COMPANIONS,

Filipino-Canadian community in the City of Prince George will gather

for a Eucharistic Celebration on Sunday, September 24, 2017, 5:30pm at

Sacred Heart Cathedral. Very Reverend Rectorino Tolentino, Jr., Vicar

    of the Mass.

    SACRED HEART SCHOOL NEWS

Sacred Heart School resumed classes on Wednesday, September 6, 2017. A very enthusiastic group of students and staff renewed

their friendships and arrived ready to get to work! Ms. Gilbert hosted our opening Assembly where she welcomed all our new and

    returning students.

Our first monthly School Mass was celebrated on Friday, September 8th. This was the feast of the Birthday of Our Lady. The Mass

was hosted by the school staff who provided the ministries during the celebration. The staff members were also commissioned for

their ministries. Each class was presented with its own classroom saint. Our school is under the patronage of St. Mother Teresa of

Calcutta whose feast we celebrated on September 5th when all staff members attended the 12:10pm Mass at Sacred Heart Cathedral.

Many of our extra-curricular activities are about to launch. These include the Panther Lunch-Time Running Club and the after

school Cross-Country Running Club for Grades 2-7. We are in training for a cross-country meet in early October. These programs

are designed to promote healthy living for our students and staff.

Our first Spirit Day took place for Friday, September 15th when students and staff wore their Panther Shirts and displayed a crazy

    hat or hair style.

    REMINDER-- ”NEEDS OF THE

in the middle of the Called Together, the Diocesan Annual

Appeal campaign, in the Diocese of Prince George, this

second collection has been moved to Sunday, November

    12, 2017.
