    What is the PE Diary?

    The PE Diary is a piece of work that pupils will be tasked

    to complete at the end of each activity block. The Diary is

    a tool that pupils can use to reflect upon their own

    performance and progress within an activity. It is hopedthat pupils can use the information in this self evaluation to

    set personal goals for themselves in S2. Parents may wish

    to share in this experience and assist the pupil in settinggoals and discussing their experiences within the activity.

    All evaluations will include a comment from the class

    teacher on the pupils performance and progress in class.

    How to use

    The Pupil Diaries will be issued as homework tasks

    throughout the year and will be referred to regularly during

    lessons.

    Step 1 After completing an activity block, think backover the experience and rate yourself accordingly

    using the I Can statements provided. The

    Success Criteria, and teachers comments can be

    used to remind you of what your teacher had

    taught during lessons.

    Step 2 Discuss the Evaluation with your parents orcarers and try to set a Pupil Target for S2 within

    the activity.

    *Remember, this target should be based on the

    answers you have already given in the

    Evaluation, and should look to improve upon

    any weaknesses.

    Step 3 Return the completed Pupil Diary to your

    teacher.
