The monthly Shining Armor bulletin has three challenges: to bring members

up-to-date on council events, to encourage member participation and to re-

Grand Knight’s Message

Page 4

Father, you can heal us in a heartbeat. We pray for Your miraculous healing

today. From depression, life-long disease, sudden failures, addictions and

massive handicaps. We pray for miraculous healing because we know you

are as capable of fixing our physicality's as you are to hold the oceans in

place as the earth spins around. Through Your Son’s death on the cross, we

have the opportunity to be healed spiritually. By believing in Jesus we are

connected straight to You in prayer and presence. Bless our hearts to be-

lieve in You beyond our heart’s capacity. Strengthen our faith where it is

weak and strengthen our resolve to linger in Your presence a little longer

each day.

Take our pain away, according to Your will, in Your time. We’re not prom-

ised a painless life on this earth, but You do want us to live a happy one.

Send Your Spirit to help us see past our circumstances and onto Your call-

ing on our lives. Sickness and injury can’t stop God-placed dreams. Fill our

hearts with hope as we wait on You to move in our lives and flow out from

our hearts. In Jesus’ Name, Amen. - Meg Bucher

The Joyful Mysteries of the Rosary will be recited on Mondays and Saturdays; the Sor-rowful Mysteries, on Tuesdays and Fridays; the Glorious Mysteries, on Wednesdays and Sundays, and the Luminous Mysteries, on Thursdays. On each day, the Rosary will be followed by the Divine Mercy Chaplet. Each broadcast lasts about 28 minutes. “The Rosary is a devotion strongly embraced by the pro-life movement,” Father Pavone said. “This is so for good reasons, because in the Hail Mary we praise a mother, and we worship the fruit of her womb. Our salvation began because a mother said yes to the life within her! In the rosary we also say, "Pray for us sinners." We don't point the finger at others, but rather at ourselves. We know that sin that is in the world, but we start by repenting of the sin within us. That is the best way to rebuild the Culture of Life.” The Divine Mercy Chaplet also has strong links to abortion, Father Pavone said. “In the revelations of Divine Mercy to St. Faustina, abortion was the primary sin for which God asked us to cry out for his mercy,” he said. “Today, the devotion to Divine Mercy deserves particular emphasis for those who have had abortions and for abor-tionists and clinic workers.” Let us pray.

COMMENTARY

Page 5

Brothers, I propose the following reflection to you; “Jesus said to the disciples, ‘in those

days after that tribulation the sun will be darkened...and the powers in the heavens will

be shaken. ... But of that day or hour, no one knows neither the angels in heaven, nor the

Son, but only the Father.’” (Mk 13:24, 32)

Since, we don’t know the day or the hour of His second coming, ponder the following

question, if you will: What would you do if you knew that Jesus was personally coming

to spend a day with you? What would your conversation with Him entail? Would you

tell him that you have been bearing witness to the Gospel of love by being generous, by

loving those around you, most especially being charitable in serving those in need?

Perhaps, sharing with Him that living and serving as a Brother Knight has been an im-

portant way of responding to His call to love and serve those in need and that living the

principles of charity, unity, and fraternity have deepen your growth in your capacity to

imitate Him and that you are immersed more fully in the life and mission of the church.

I encourage you to live each day, never forgetting to give Him thanks for the best days of

your life. According to St. Jean Vianney, the saint for priests, “we should not respond to

please others but to please God”.

Being a Knight can be described as a new way of life, love and service to one and ser-

vice to all, and pleasing God for the work we do as Catholic men and members of the

Order in His name. When we get involved, we strengthen our activities of service to the

church and community.

When we get involved we display an intimacy that finds its origin and fulfillment in

God’s choosing us as His own, embracing us with His blessing. When we serve, we

demonstrate God’s Love and acknowledgement. So lets not deny ourselves from bring-

ing God’s presence to others, for we don’t know the impact we have on them. Our ulti-

mate goal is to help each other make a complete gift of ourselves to God in service.

Let’s answer the call from Brother Bill Durbourgh, our Community Director, to help dis-

tribute food for the those in need this Thanksgiving. (see Social Concerns calendar on

page 8).

You’ve heard the news by now. How family members found thousands of aborted ba-bies stuffed in cardboard boxes in a barn at the home of the notorious abortionist Ulrich “George” Klopfer.

Priests for Life is going to make sure this discovery of 2,246 babies awakens the con-science of the country and gives notice to those responsible for this atrocity – espe-cially pro-abortion politicians – that their days of imposing abortion-on-demand on the rest of us are about to end. The atrocities inflicted on defenseless un-born children must stop! You no doubt recall the undercover videos that captured Planned Parenthood officials bragging about dissecting babies in order to harvest their body parts and sell them to the highest bidder. One Planned Parenthood abortionist – Dr. Deborah Nucatol – was terribly graphic about how she harvests the heart, lungs, and especially the liver because it’s in such high demand right now. She gave specific details about how to harvest these organs intact by crushing the still living baby above and below the thorax.

You’d think these revelations would shock America into action. Sadly they haven’t. And I fear that if this callous disregard for the dignity of the hu-man person goes on much longer America will perish. So here’s what Priests for Life is going to do and what I’m counting on you to do over the next several months.

Priests for Life is going to recruit hundreds of thousands of pro-life activists to use our “Is This What You Mean” brochure to CHALLENGE candidates running for elected office and everyone who supports abortion to admit what abortion is and then defend it. What the abortion supporter says in re-sponse doesn’t matter. We’ll have revealed the truth about that person’s pro-abortion extremism and everyone who listens will know it.
