An Internet-based Work Simulation Program designed to provide individuals
with 36 realistic & relevant job-related activities managing and operating a
fictitious retail business selling entertainment equipment.
• Individuals will learn to use the computer as a problem-solving tool by applying previously learned computer skills to realistic business situations.
• An atmosphere of employment will be created by using the whole approach to related jobs within one organization.
• Individuals will learn to analyze data to make business decisions and learn the consequences of those decisions.
• Individuals will experience a change of pace from the traditional classroom format.

PURPOSE
Up To 45 Hrs of Online Tutorials in:• Typing• Basics of Computers• Word Processing
• Spreadsheets• Presentation• Internet Basics
• Current Internet Browser• Word Processing, Spreadsheet and Presentation Software• Acrobat Reader • Designated location on a Storage Device, PC or Network
to save all computer files• Printer / Paper• Pen & Pencil• 3-Ring Binder or Folder
REQUIREMENTS
1. Provide a realistic Work Environment and Experiences under monitored conditions
2. Work in cooperative teams and develop interpersonal skills 3. Develop higher-level problem-solving skills 4. Apply integrated computer skills to business situations 5. Develop a business plan 6. Write various types of business letters and documents 7. Calculate the cost of loan payments 8. Calculate leasing costs 9. Schedule part-time employee hours 10. Perform payroll calculations including FICA and withholding
