Dear Parents and Carers,
I thought that I would just touch base with you all, as today would have
been the official end of term before the Easter Holidays. I hope that you are
all well. We haven’t yet received any notifications that any of the
St.Michael’s family have become unwell with COVID 19 and all staff are cur-
rently safe and well.
School has been pretty quiet during the days. We have had children attend-
ing each day and we will continue to be open over the Easter holidays
(including bank holidays) to support our Keyworker families who need child-
care. Please see pictures from activities that have taken place already.
As Headteacher, I receive daily updates fron the DfE and Local Authority
and most of the last fortnight has been spent organizing school for Key-
worker children, providing homeworking support via the school website and updating policies and proce-
dures during these very different times as well as keeping in touch with staff who are working from
home.
A couple of parents have contacted school with regard to logins for pupil activities. Please see article in
this newsletter for further information and updates.
With regards to Home working, as it is now the Easter Holidays we would not be expecting your children
to be continuing with their lessons. However, there are many links to fun activities that your children may
continue to enjoy as the country remains in lockdown. Learning activities for you to use after Easter have
already been uploaded and we will continue to add to these over the next few weeks.
We will continue to send out newsletters on a fortnightly basis to keep you up to date with all that is hap-
pening. If any children would like to write an article or send in pictures of anything that they have been
doing at home, we will try to publish as many as possible in the next newsletters.
May I wish you all well. Stay safe at home.

Home Learning
Dear Parents/Carers and Pupils,
First of all we hope you are all well and all of the staff would like you to know you are in our
thoughts.
This week I have been working hard to make sure the apps available to support our pupils are
in place, working and offer a range of learning opportunities.
All of the apps are now working and should take the children through to their relevant ac-
counts. So far these include:
Mathletics
Bug Club
Times Table Rockstars
Numbot
Purple Mash (now working through Wonde)
I will hopefully be adding more over the next few weeks and will update you accordingly.
Those apps that are still available on the dashboard, but are not mentioned above, are allow-
ing parents to sign up for free user accounts.
To allow Bug Club to work, I have had to alter some usernames and passwords, this means if
you are not using Wonde, some of the familiar logins may no longer be working. If this is
causing a problem, please contact me using of-
[email protected] and we will
support you with this.
New resources have been added onto Bug Club
and can be found in the ‘My Stuff’ Folder. I
thought I would also look into creating some digi-
tal tutorials of how to navigate and use these apps
and put them on our website too for any families
who are still struggling to access these materials.
Please also keep checking the class pages on our school website. We are updating these to in-
clude work the children could complete while they are away from school.
Enjoy this time at home with your children and please make sure you stay safe.

Meet our Governors…..
Rev Carol Avery
I have just moved to Stanground and Farcet from Greenhithe and Stone, near Bluewater shopping centre in Kent. I am a Pioneer priest (Vicar) in the church of England and am so pleased to now be a gov-ernor at St. Michael’s School.
I am married to Andrew, also a Vicar here, I’m mum to six children and also have a two grandchil-dren , two dogs and three rescue cats. We love spending time with family and friends, we love mu-sic and Disney!
My passion is to see children and adults reach their potential in life. Over the last 3 years I have set up a charity called ‘Marys Child’ that sup-ports children and families who find themselves in any difficulty, and seeks to provide practical help as well as care.

In a bid to streamline and be easily accessible to parents, we have moved away from both Face-book and twitter, and instead will be having a live
blog on the front page of the school’s website. Parents will then receive all the latest news via
the recently introduced app that can be added to a device of your choosing. The App is being up-dated during this time by our website providers.
