In my view the Sixth Form should run the school and

during my first year at The Royal it is clear that they do.

What stands out to me, from the very first meeting

I had with Senior Prefects, is the outstanding quality

of relationships that exist between pupils and staff

that make The Royal such a very special community. On a daily

basis the exchange of banter between us makes every day a pleasure

basis the exchange of banter between us makes every day a pleasure

and walking into the Sixth Form Centre an important part of my day.

As a year group you have impressed me with your attitude towards your

learning and as importantly, the breadth of activities and enterprises

that you have engaged in. There is scarcely a week that goes by that does

not involve some form of charitable activity, conceived and run by the

sixth form. I will long remember the Christmas Fayre as an example of what

young people can achieve with enthusiasm, dedication and commitment.

young people can achieve with enthusiasm, dedication and commitment.

As an example to the lower years you are impressive whether it is

supervising duty times, assisting with junior school activities or sheepishly

approaching my study to honestly explain how suddenly your football skills

deserted you at a key moment and caused a window to be broken!

You have risen to the challenges that we have placed before you,

done so in good humour and tried your best to succeed on a personal

level and as a year group. level and as a year group.

The biggest complement I can pay you is to say I feel as if I’ve been at

The Royal for years, not a couple of terms, and that I have thoroughly

enjoyed my time with you as we have become better acquainted.

As a talented group of young people I look forward to hearing of your

further successes at University, travels, in your careers and personal lives.

You have all the ingredients to be successful; show us what you can do,

then come and tell us about it!then come and tell us about it!
