Player Profile - James Lockhart - Centre Interviewed by Captain Smith

D.S. Which player would you take on a double date, and why?

J. L. It would have to be Ruaridh Blackmore so that I could help him out

when it came to talking to his date.

D.S. Tell us your best joke?

J. L. Whats green and smells of pork? Kermit the frogs middle finger.

D.S. The boys know you to love twerk. Who’s got the best moves in the squad?

J. L. It would have to go to Ally Smith managing to lure in the talent at the

Royal on our night out..

D.S. What’s the most trouble you’ve got into?

J. L. Having to put my friendship on hold with Michael Jamieson. I broke his nose with a meter

stick because he beat me at ping pong.

D.S. Which one of your team mates is most in need of fashion advice, and why?

J. L. Jack Wilson with his socks and sandals. That’s something my dad would do.

PLAYER WATCH - Glenn Feighan - Hooker. One of Strathmore’s stand out players this season. Glenn has worked extremely

hard in the close/pre-season and he is reaping the rewards. A bit of a wrecking ball

with ball in hand he ensures the men in black constantly moving for-ward but his quick thinking in open play and eagerness to support that

make him such a difficult player for the opposition to handle.

Glenn is sponsored by the Strathmore Silverbacks

Changing room chat. This weekend we welcome local rivals Harris Academy FPs’ to Inch-macoble a team we beat convincingly home and away last season.

However, Harris have posted some very good results this season and

we are in no doubt they are a vastly improved side from last year and

they will arrive in Forfar eager to turn us over on our own pitch. Our victory last weekend over Alloa was massive for us but we are fully

aware we have to back this up by coming into todays game with the

correct attitude.

With a number of backs returning to the starting line up today the backline has more of a familiar look to it. Tom Hall and last weekends Man of the Match, Kyle Mitchell are not available this

weekend but it’s a sign of real strength in depth the squad have this season that two quality players,

Scott Strachan and Ian Reid can come into take their places in the pack. Ian in particular will be

keen to make his mark in his home debut at Inchmacoble. The Angus Development Squad suffered their 2nd defeat of the season away to Howe of Fife 2nd XV

last weekend but will look to bounce back to winning ways against Grangemouth 2nds today at

Montrose RFC and maintain their high league placing in Caledonia Midlands 3.

On behalf of all the players and coaches at Strathmore thanks for your support today I am sure

you’ll enjoy a competitive game of fast flowing rugby.
