Upgrading our 3 bin collection service*

Commencement of the weekly green bin and fortnightly recycling and rubbish service will begin on:

13 June Zone 1: Casino and surrounds20 June Zone 2:Evans Head, Broadwater, Coraki, Rileys Hill and surrounds

When will it happen?

What’s NEW?From June 2016, your green bin will become a food and garden organics bin. All food and garden waste will go into your green bin to be collected weekly and recycled into certified organic compost. 1. Line the kitchen caddy with

our compostable green bin liner OR you can wrap food scraps in newspaper OR place food directly into the caddy with no liner or newspaper.

2. Place all food scraps, bones, leftovers and other food organic material into your kitchen caddy.

3. Once full, place the food scraps into your GREEN BIN.

HOT TIP During hot weather, freeze meat and seafood scraps until just before collection day. You can do this using one of the green compostable bin liners, which are easy to spot in your freezer.

HANDY HINTS Empty your kitchen caddy regularly to prevent odours.Placing newspaper at the bottom of your caddy and green bin will help absorb small amounts of liquid.

Food and garden waste collection. All food scraps, kitchen waste and garden waste should be placed into your GREEN BIN. Weekly
