1 Introduction
1.1 Introducing R:Scheduler 9.5 (32)
R:Scheduler is a multi-user event calendar scheduling program, that also keeps track of individualcontacts and a personnel task list. The scheduling options include simple recurring reminders with userdefined intervals, which support more advanced options like every weekday, every other Friday, lastMonday of the month, last day of the month, etc. When events reach their due date, R:Scheduler canlaunch a popup reminder that can even play your favorite WAV files.
R:Scheduler's simple but practical interface and is easy to use and runs in the system tray, whenminimized, keeping your desktop screen clutter free. New reminders can be created very quickly with the"Duplicate Event" option allowing users to quickly and easily schedule meetings, and distribute meetingand event-related details from their desktop computers.
The calendar can be customized with different fonts, event intervals, menu options, calendar views, border colors, start/end times, and styles.
The Contacts management portion allows users to instantly access key contact and customerinformation, with several custom fields for "contact specific" details that must be kept handy. Existingaddress books and Contact lists from Outlook can easily be imported into R:Scheduler.
The Task List portion of R:Scheduler allows administrators and users to manage and prioritize tasks andactivities. Additional settings allow extra formatting for when tasks are complete or overdue.
A Print Preview option supplies users with several advanced options to print your calendar in aprofessional and easy to read format.
A User Administration interface gives network administrators the ability to control if other user's data isshared with others and whether users can edit other user's information.
Custom environment settings include an "Autorefresh" for data display and "Timeout" for closingR:Scheduler after a period of inactivity.
R:Scheduler is based on the relational database model, and uses an R:BASE database for all datastorage. For R:BASE database administrators, this allows you to merge the existing database, whichships with R:Scheduler, into an existing database on your file server, then edit the R:Scheduler settingsto use the newly merged database.
R:Scheduler helps organizations to:
Improve management of events Streamline event management processes Reduce operational costs Track all user tasks
