Students Take Top Prize At Hyland Competition Four RRHS students took top prize at Hyland Software's Innovation Showdown competition. The team consisted of Mary Bebie, Austin Wilson, Ergis Mecaj and Hady Salama and was led by computer science teacher, Tina Bright. First place was awarded to RRHS - who competed against other area high schools - after the team created an application that could be used to make employees, staff and students safer while they are at school or work. Report Card Updates Report cards will be available online beginning November 4, 2016. This is the first year that we will not be mailing report cards home. Accessibility may be gained by logging into ProgressBook. If you haven't logged in this year, or if you have forgotten your login and password, please contact Counseling Secretary, Richelle Frantz at [email protected].

Students Take Top Pr ize At Hyland Competition

Four RRHS students took top prize at Hyland Software's Innovation Showdown competition. Parent Teacher Conferences

Parent Teacher Conferences will take place on November 10, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. - 4:45 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. The RRHS teaching staff will break for dinner from 4:45 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. As in past years, teachers are available on a first-come-first-served basis.

Summer School Fitness Schedule & Information

September 's Staff Spotlight Award Winner is Senor Luis Escobedo

This month's Staff Spotlight is on Spanish Teacher, Luis Escobedo. Mr. Escobedo joined Rocky River City Schools in 1999 and provides an enormous amount of energy and enthusiasm to the high school and the foreign language department. He has worked to provide students with a variety of opportunities to interact with world cultures and language. Recently, Mr. Escobedo served as an advisor for the World Language Honor Society and worked to organize and arrange a host school exchange. Please be sure to congratulate Mr. Luis Escobedo on receiving this award.

Parent Guide to Snapchat

Generation Z, kids born between 1995 and 2012, spend an average of 15.4 hours a week on their smartphones. Due to an increase in smartphone usage as well as the capabilities of these devices, apps such as Snapchat and Instagram have become increasingly popular with Generation Z. Snapchat reports that nearly 60% of users fall between the ages 13-24 whereas only 12% of users fall between the ages of 35-54. Understanding the popular modes of communication utilized by this generation of students is an essential component of internet safety.
