i A REA GEOLOGY'v " " " " " "'"

There was no geological data available from the province on the Cedar Lake

area. However that of the Sioux Lookout region is identical.

ROCK

Predominantly massive granite arid altered granite, pirn k and grey.

The east "arm of Cedar Lake is a mixture of steep rocky hills sloping to the

water and tow marshy areas some of which are about 2 feet higher than water

level being lacustrine deposits of clay and sand.

The west arm of cedar lake rises gradually from the water with various areas

of lacustrine sands.

MINERALS

Three areas were discovered where the altered granite were strongly magnetic

and samples were taken and tested. Quartz veins appear in outcrops with rust

indicating limonite or ciminite.

An attached drawing not from the Cedar Lake claims but about a mile and a half

distant indicates a steep rock formation being the only one for a considerable

distance probably a pillow formation. Acmite, massive pyrite and chalcopyrite

were observed in samples taken from a dike in this formation.

Attention iis drawn to slurry sample #1.5 analysed at 5 Ozs per ton J should

have had this sample analysed for black platinum but at the time did not

realize this mineral existed.

FUTURE WORK

Results from past exploration indicate further prospecting should be carried

out. However rio grant has been received from the province since 1991 and funds

are not available for further exploration.
