Rough Grooming Estimates:
Prices are based on one on one grooming services and also based on dogs that are groomed regularly, prices are subject to change based on time of groom, clean up time after their groom, coat type/condition, age/weight, flea treatment and temperament.
Estimated timing may differ depending on coat type/condition, skin conditions, age/weight, fleas, dematting, deshedding, dry time, temperament and type of haircut.
Grooming is very circumstantial and mostly based on the condition of the dog & time! if there’s more work than it will be priced accordingly. Prices may be adjusted over time.
Breed Specific Price List at the Bottom of this Document
Full-Service Bath includes:
Nail Trim/Grind, Anal Gland Expression, Clean Ears, Bath, Blow Dry, Brush/Deshed
Full-Service Groom Includes:
Nail Trim/Grind, Anal Gland Expression, Pluck/Clean Ears, Bath, Blow Dry, Brush/Deshed, Haircut of Owners Choice.
Add on to bath and groom services:
Flea bath- 5-8$ small, 10$ medium, 15$ large, 20$ extra-large
Price depends on how badly infested! if we think someone might have fleas- if possible, book them be the last client of my day or book a little extra time at the end of the groom so I can thoroughly clean before my next client (10 minutes)
(add on to bath or groom)
Dematting fee- 5-8$ small, 10$ medium, 15$ large, 20$ extra large
Only charged for severe cases of matting, if matting takes more than 20 minutes to remove, whether it be dematting or shaving off a matted pelt- a fee is charged if more time is needed to be careful. (add on to bath or groom)
(Educate about dematting)
Some breeds matt very easily, a good example are doodles. I always suggest coming in more often for grooming and also possibly in between brush outs! Its important to comb them weekly at home, making sure the comb touches the skin, especially if they get wet, once they dry, they should be combed out. A lot of owners believe their dog isn’t matted because they surface brush with the wrong brushes, combs are key for matt prone breeds!
Extra Deshedding fee- 5$sm 10$m, 15$L, 20$ex large
Only added if there’s so much undercoat that extra time is needed or if the owner specifically wants extra brushing (add on to bath or groom)
Special Handling Fee- 5-10$ added charge for cats and dogs that are extremely difficult / if the owner doesn’t want sedation, so it takes a little extra time and love.
(add on to bath or groom)
Dental- 5$ if tooth brush is supplied or 8$ with buying our tooth brush (add on to bath or groom)
Pads/Foot trim- 5$ (add on to a bath)
Sanitary areas- 5$ (add on to bath)
Eye Notch- 5$ (add on to bath)
Standalone services:
Nail trim 10$ (3-5 mins)
Nail trim & Grind 15$ (5-10 mins)
Nail trim and foot trim 20$ (10 mins)
Nail trim/Grind/foot trim 25$ (10-15 mins)
Foot Trim 10$ (5 mins)
Ear Plucking 5-8$ (1-5 mins)
Ear Cleaning 5-8$ (1-5 mins)
Ear plucking and cleaning 10$ (5 mins)
Anal gland expression 5$ (1 min)
Butt Notch: 5$ (1-2 mins)
Both sanitary areas: 10$ (3-5 mins)
Preventative brush out: 10-15$ small (10-15 mins), 15-20$ medium(15-20 mins), 25/30$ large(25-30 mins), 30/40$ extra-large(30-40 mins)
I suggest this for dogs that matt easily as an in between service to prevent matting, if someone wants a good deshed or needs dematting they should get them bathed and blown out for best results!
Face feet and Sani (light face trim, pads, feet trim, nail grind & sanitary areas, no body trimming and no bath) 25-30$ (30 mins)
This service is great for first time puppys who are shy to get them used to the environment without getting overwhelmed, but also a good in between service for pups who grow fast!
Discounts:
If a client calls and asks for just a haircut, if it’s a small breed - they can bath it a night before their apt but it needs to be completely dry coming in / clean for the cut to come out right, price wise we can give roughly a 5-10$ discount depending on the dog.
if a client is ok with the kennel dryers, we could give them 5-10$ off and estimate more time if they are looking for a discount. there’s a list below of dogs who do not qualify due to safety reasons. I’ve been doing one on one grooming for years but if people don’t mind waiting a little longer for a discount and it’s a breed that can go into a kennel with a dryer then we can offer it, sometimes it’s better for older dogs also, it gives them a good break. Extremely thick double coated dogs like Saint Bernard’s should never go in a kennel dryer but breeds like labs and goldens can for their initial dry, but still need to be force air dried to help deshed. Mostly it is for small dogs though! If a family of yorkies comes in it is very helpful and time efficient to use kennel dryers, I could do 3 yorkies in 3.5 hours with kennel drying when without it, it would take me an extra hour. In most cases, for this discount I would estimate extra time because if they come alone (not a family of dogs) and I may be working on another dog while they dry. See below for more details on kennel dryers
Questions to ask new grooming clients
What breed is your dog?
If it’s a rare breed or a mix, ask them-
what does it resemble?
If it’s a rare breed look it up online & if it’s a mix estimate a price based on what breed down below it resembles most but tell them it is an estimate and before seeing the dog its hard to make an accurate estimate, they can also text or email a picture.. estimates usually have a 10-15$ difference sometimes more but once we know the dog and how often they come in we can set a regular price.
If it’s a breed prone to matt or extremely thick breed- ask- How long since your last professional groom and condition of the coat? Can you get a comb down to their skin? How regularly do you comb your dog out? If the owner says they are in bad shape, book roughly 30 minutes of extra time then the listed time estimates.
Ask about flea prevention and the possibility of fleas
What’s the temperament of the dog?
What’s the dogs weight/age?
Type of clip? puppy cut doesn’t mean anything other then one length all over. ask what length they would like to leave their dog if it’s a full body haircut, or if it’s a light trim or tight trim, or if its breed specific
If your questioning the amount of time to book because it sounds like the dog is in really rough shape, book a little extra time then the time I suggested below because that is based off dogs that are groomed regularly, maybe 30 extra minutes, so I can get used to the clients and know their quirks. Quality over quantity!
Cancelation Policy and Timeliness:
If a client cancels same day or doesn’t show up, most salons charge a 15-25$ fee if we weren’t able to fill the apt slot, we ask for 24 hours’ notice if an apt needs to be canceled, unless the client had a family emergency or something. I get to work 20 minutes early to set up for the day, I like when my clients show up a little early for their apt so we can talk and have them checked in by their apt time. when booking a client if possible, tell them their apt is for 8:45am if it is 9am or 2:45pm if its 3pm, etc. BUT if the owner needs 9am or a certain time by the half hour or hour that’s perfectly fine too. if
they are more then 30 minutes late we might need to reschedule and add a 10$ fee to their next apt, depending on how busy the day is and if we do take them in late and it puts us behind an extra charge of 10$ may be added, if this is the case the dog will most likely take a little longer so I can keep other clients on schedule. I’m pretty lenient person we don’t have to charge fees but if it happens more than once we should because this helps prevent clients from no showing and showing up late.
Kennel dryers
Kennel dryers can be controversial but if the heating element is removed, and we follow
this list of breeds to never dry in a kennel then they are perfectly safe!
List of breeds to never put in a kennel with a dryer- do not offer that discount above to
these breeds! It is unsafe to kennel dry flat faced dogs

Common Question-
How often should my dog get groomed?
6 weeks if the owner is keeping the coat above 1 inch & it’s a breed that matts easily and swims a lot – ex: doodles, poodles, bichons (curly coated dogs should come in more often if the owner is keeping it over 1 inch unless they brush religiously.)
My go to answer is always - 6-8 weeks, if the owner is combing the dog at home and they keep it at a manageable length, and long haired cats its good to do every 6/8 weeks so they get used to it unless they are getting shaved then it’s unnecessary.
If the dog matts easily I suggest, 8-week groom rebook with a brush out at 4-weeks, or 6-week groom and 3-week brush out if they don’t do much brushing at home.
Some dogs can go over 12 weeks without grooming, like your typical bath dogs but If it’s a groom dog, the price will be higher if they are in bad shape. the more often a grooming client comes in the better the price will be. Your typical bath dogs at least need their nails done every 8 weeks to keep the quick from growing out, if they want to push back the quick come in every 3 / 4 weeks even if it doesn’t seem like there’s a lot of nail there, it’s the only way to do it comfortably over time without making the dog bleed.
