Last Week July 21, 2015 An outstanding program by Highlands Rotarian Rick Trevathan last week on Criminal Justice and The Media. Our Club is so rich with experience, and it always so interesting to hear from our own members. We also heard a great Rotary Story from Past President Steve Chenoweth. Next Week August 4, 2015 August is Membership & Extension Month, and Selwyn Chalker will be giving a program on My Rotary. Presidents Message July 28, 2015 Summer is always a great time for Highlands Rotarians as we are seeing so many of our Red Badgers and seasonal guests. I encourage all of you when travelling to visit other Clubs and trade a banner. It’s a great way to gain fresh perspective and bring back ideas for our Club. For a complete listing of all 33,000 clubs and their meeting times and locations, visit www.rotary.org . Don’t forget that make up opportunities closer to home are also available and are encouraged! Did you know that there are 92 Rotary Clubs within a 100 mile radius of Highlands? Foundation MessageSeptember 10, 2009WHAT IS THE GOAL OF ROTARY FOUNDATION GRANTS?

“Doing good in the world.” This is achieved via three programs categories of The RotaryFoundation.

District Grants– allows up to 25% of funding given three years ago through Annual Fund –SHARE todo projects that fall within the mission. Almost any type of project can be done and local clubs workwith their districts to figure out what projects and activities are nearest and dearest to their hearts.

Global Grants- funds sustainable and measurable scholarships, humanitarian grants and vocationaltraining teams in the Rotary Foundation’s six areas of focus.

Packaged Grants- Fully funded projects done with strategic partners that allow Rotarians to workwith experts in the six areas of focus, Multiplying the good work of our Foundation and creatingrelevant partnerships showing the world what Rotary can do and the power of teamwork.
