Mixed or pre-sorted industrial and commercial waste contains raw materials that can be recovered by means of mechanical processing. Mechanical recycling equipment supplied by Eggersmann separates recyclable waste by composition and particle size to deliver the recovered raw materials in a particularly effective and efficient way, in accordance with application and material requirements.
The size of each plant system is based on a detailed analysis of the substances being handled and the required quantities of recycled raw material. High-performance components developed by us in house guarantee maximum purity, reliability and fine-tuned capacity as required.
The entire design and setup procedure is placed in the expert hands of our highly-qualified, multi-disciplinary team.

The natural fermentation-based recycling of organic waste provides us with a potentially inexhaustible source of energy.
The fermentation of organic waste releases energy-rich methane gas, the high quality and economic efficiency of which makes it a viable alternative to fossil fuels. In addition to the recovery of biogas, Eggersmann recycling systems also provide nutrient-rich compost for use in the gardening and agricultural sectors.

aPrimary Shredder
The TEUTON Z 55 is designed because of the demand for one universal machine for wood (demolition wood, green waste, etc.), industrial waste (construction, demolition, tires, plastics etc.) and other waste streams (general skip waste, mattresses etc.).
bBag Opener
Machines of the BO-series open any type of plastic bag and transfer the material to the subsequent sorting- and preparations equipment. They are available as a standard model and as a model combined with a charging hopper, where the hopper is fed in batches by a front loader.
cTroughed belt conveyor
The troughed belt conveyor is used to transport lightweight and heavy materials. The conveyor itself is manufactured in segments and the conveyor belt frame consists of stable edged profiles, equipped with all necessary cut-outs and bore holes to attach any required additional equipment.
Screening Drum stationary
Screening drums separate the input material into differently sized fractions. Waste type, throughput capacity and size of the output fractions determine the size of the screening drum. Our plants can accommodate between one to four screening steps.
d eAir Belt Separator
The separator essentially separates the input material into a light-weight and a heavy fraction. The light-weight fraction, including cardboard, paper, plastics and foil, with its low specific gravity, is separated by an airstream from the heavier materials.
fSuspension Magnet
Suspension magnets extract iron and iron-bearing components from bulk materials. They recover clean iron scrap for recycling, and protect grinders, mills and other processing equipment against wear and damage.
Ballistic Separator
The BS-series – medium heavy Ballistic Separators for waste like commerical and household waste. They are qualified to split the material to three fractions in one step. The paddles and side walls of the machines equipped with Hardox for hard use.
gNIR
The NIR system is able to detect plastic materials down to 4 mm grain size and separates the material for recycling. The system efficiently recovers individual plastics found in packaging waste, mixed plastics from electronic scrap (WEEE), and can further recover refuse derived fuels, low in PVC, from residual waste fractions.
iFeed and metering hopper
The D-series is designed to steadily feed various materials. They are equipped with an electronic volume flow control unit and a moving floor conveyor. The machines are primarily used in the feeding process of sorting and recovery systems. They transport materials such as waste paper, packing materials, waste wood, biodegradable and organic waste.
jDecompactor
Feed hoppers with integrated decompactors are used in mechanical and biological waste treatment facilities. They are used for receiving, buffering and dosed feeding of green waste, mixed organic waste, organic production residues, plastic waste and other materials.

Mobile Lock-Washer Screen S 60
The Lock-Washer Screen S 60 – suitable for the treatment of biomass, bark, scrap wood, compost, wood chips - convinces with a high throughput rate for 3-fraction screening. The wide, one-piece discharge conveyors are ideally arranged in opposite and allow a movement of the machine into working position.
Mobile Windsifter W 80
The Windsifter W 80 is the wheeled mobile solution for separation of construction and demolition materials. The special design of the integrated hopper ensures a uniform distribution of the material and a continuous material flow.

Waste reception
Delivery of waste takes place in an enclosed building, where a distinction can be made between systems using a shallow bunker or a deep bunker. A shallow bunker consists of a level surface that is directly accessible by delivery vehicles. A deep bunker comprises a pit, which is accessed from fixed discharging points on a ramp.

Mechanical pre-treatment
Residual waste, commercial waste and pre-sorted packaging waste all contain raw materials that can be extracted using mechanical treatment technology. At the sorting stage, a range of separating equipment is used to extract the desired materials.

Purification of fuels
One of the basic elements in many sorting facilities is the preparation of solid recovered fuels. Residual waste, which cannot be separated any further, is processed into a substitute fuel to be used in a range of applications.
Dry fermentation
The plant consists of a module of 5 to 8 structurally identical dry digesters and a percolate digester with an upstream sand trap, located below the digester tunnels. Eggersmann dry fermentation is a safe and biologically stable process for the production of biogas.

Wet fermentation
The wet fermentation plant comprises a pre-treatment unit with pulper, a hydrolysis unit for acidification and mixing of the input material, centrally agitated digesters, a pump station, a sanitization unit as well as a combination tank for biogas and liquid organic fertilizer.

Aerobic treatment – Open windrow composting
Aerobic treatment of organic materials for composting of green waste, organic waste, sewage sludge, for the treatment of organic fractions from residual waste or sanitization of digestate and / or production of a compost subject to quality assurance.

Post-treatment
Post-treatment involves treatment of fine fractions that were already subjected to mechanical and biological treatment. The main objective is the removal of any residual contaminants from a given compost fraction.

Semi-mobile mechanical treatment
Tailored to specific requirements – such as input materials and the desired output material – this flexible plant is primarily suitable for processing small quantities and can be assembled according to individual needs.

Thermal Drying
A perfect engineered process for drying different grained materials or sewage sludges.The material is aerated, heated and mixed to achieve a homogeneous and dehumidified output material.
Primary Shredder
The FORUS Special Edition 450 is a specialist for all types of wood and waste. The slow-running two-shaft shredder also processes plastic films, papers, refuse, waste and electronic scrap just as efficiently.
Bale Dewiring Machine
The BD 40 Bale Dewiring Machine automates the process of material feeding to sorting and recovery plants.A front loader feeds the bales to the charging belt which transports the bales one after the other to the dewiring mechanism. The Bale Dewiring Machine adapts itself flexibly to the bale dimensions.
To perfectly pretreat digestate mixtures before the aerobic treatment as well as the ther-mic drying of the material, the input substrates are mixed into the dynamic material flow, then homogenized and fluffened up.The pressure ventilation of the material with pre-heated circulat-ing air and active floor heating of the closed machine are the basis for an op-timized ammoniac and water output through the exhaust air. This exhaust air is processed by the exhaust air treatment system.

In its role as a general contractor, Eggersmann establishes public and commercial projects and is responsible for all work involved in planning and construction of recycling plants. These include engineering, implementation planning, procurement, production and supply of machinery and conveying/handling systems, and installation, start-up, trial operation and turnkey handover of the plant, plus all the civil-engineering for the project.

Mixed or pre-sorted industrial and commercial waste contains raw materials that can be recovered by means of mechanical processing. Mechanical recycling equipment supplied by Eggersmann separates recyclable waste by composition and particle size to deliver the recovered raw materials in a particularly effective and efficient way, in accordance with application and material requirements.
The size of each plant system is based on a detailed analysis of the substances being handled and the required quantities of recycled raw material. High-performance components developed by us in house guarantee maximum purity, reliability and fine-tuned capacity as required.
