Curriculum-Based, Fun & Hands-On! The Roof It H2O program is a highly engaging and one-of-a-kind experience for students. Using differentiated instruction techniques, the program reaches every student while they have a blast learning about global water issues through hands-on and stimulating activities. Designed by teachers for classes & student clubs ranging from grades 5-8, Roof It H2O has innovative curriculum links to Science, Language, Social Studies & more. Participating students develop amazing leadership skills while enhancing their understanding of water realities, challenges & solutions from around the world.

Explore the World of Water Together with qualified Tin Roof instructors, students explore the world of fresh water, including fresh water scarcity around the globe, threats to the world’s fresh water supplies, and the huge differences in global water consumption between countries (Canadians consume over 100 times more water each year than some countries in the world). In contrast to the safe and convenient water realities enjoyed by millions of

Canadians, students learn about the difficulties their peers face in the developing world every day in order to access clean water. In addition, students explore the many impacts of waterborne illness, which limits the health and prosperity of tens of millions of people across the developing world every day.

Student Action For Water

Water is earth’s most precious resource and with Roof It H2O, students make a difference while learning and having fun. Participating students are invited to do a water week at their school, putting water issues firmly on the map for five days of fun and easy student activities. Tin Roof’s professional instructors leave behind a Roof It H2O toolbox that provides everything needed for students to develop their leadership skills while promoting awareness

around global water issues at school. With support from Tin Roof staff & volunteers, students will have everything they need to inspire their peers and communities while making impacts for water.

Win-Win-Wins! Wins for Canadian students developing leadership skills. Wins for education regarding global water issues. Wins for Ugandan school children whose health and education levels dramatically improve. It’s all possible through the Roof It H2O program! Participating students are invited to make a difference in the lives of their peers abroad. Your school’s water week can be an easy and effective opportunity to fundraise in support of water systems for rural Ugandan schools. With your help, entire Ugandan communities get involved, providing volunteer labour and local construction materials to build and maintain water systems for generations to come.
