Monoset Concrete

Description

Monoset Concrete is a prepacked Polymer Modified Concrete designed for repairing existing floors or laying new floors where speed of strength gain is critical. Monoset Concrete is manufactured from a blend of non-shrink cements, rapid hardening fillers, powder polymers and requires only the addition of clean water. Monoset Concrete will accept heavy traffic within two hours of placement.

Working Time (at 20°C) 30 Minutes

Packaging and YieldMonoset Concrete is supplied in 30 kg bags. For application thickness over 25 mm, a maximum of 20 kg 5 - 10 mm aggre -gate can be added to each bag. The yield of Monoset Concrete is 60 packs/m3 (without aggregate) or 40 packs/m3 with 20kg of aggregate added per pack.

PreparationPrepare substrate; ensure clean and sound.

PrimingDamp substrate with potable water. Remove standing water. Mix the complete set of Monoset Primer (prepacked) thoroughly until a homogeneous mixture is achieved. Once mixed, prime the prepared substrate by brush.

MixingPlace the whole bag of powder in the mixing vessel and pour approximately 4 - 5 litres of clean water into the powder. For application thickness over 25 mm, a maximum of 20 kg 5 - 10 mm aggregate can be added to each bag of Monoset Concrete. Mix with the aid on an electrical drill or pan mixer until the concrete is workable and homogeneous.

InstallationOnce mixed, the concrete should be applied to the prepared and primed substrate whilst the primer is still tacky. Build up the concrete to the desired thickness and finish the surface using a steel or wood float.

Shelf Life and StorageShelf life is 6 months. Store in a cool and dry conditions in the original and unopended packaging. Exposure to high humidity and high temperature may reduce the shelf life.

Health and SafetyMonoset Concrete contains cement. Protective clothing such as goggles, overalls and gloves is recommended to prevent any effect from prolonged skin contact, inhala-tion or ingestion. Refer to Health and Safety Data Sheet.
