A MESSAGE FOR YOU
Pg . 3
Christ the King Catholic School concluded another successful year with a mul tude of awards and honors for the students and teachers. During the last few weeks, there have been honor roll cer ficates, subject awards, and presenta on of scholarship awards from the Givas Founda on, Chris an Service and Catholic Community Founda on. Students have been recognized with the Elizabeth Ann Seton Awards, a

Catholic Daughters of America presented two of our 8th graders with local awards and several with essay winners at the state level. Six families were presented with plaques for their support and commitment to the school as their last child graduated.
As we look forward to next year, we will fill our needs of a Jr. High Math teacher, as Mr. Pat Curry tended his resigna on a er eight years of dedicated service to CTK. We also will be looking for a replacement for our dearly departed 1st grade teacher and friend, Mrs. Beth Stevason who unexpectedly passed in May.
It is only with the support and prayer of parents, past parents, alumni, parishioners, and the greater community that all these things, plus so much more, happen every day at Christ the King Catholic School. Thank you for helping us to ac vely par cipate in this life of this world while seeking the things from God.

A Prayer for Generosity
Dear Lord, teach me to be generous,
teach me to serve you as you deserve,
to give and not to count the cost,
to fight and not to heed the wound,
to toil and not to seek for rest,
to labor and not to ask for a reward,
save that of knowing that I do Your will.
~ St. Ignatius of Loyola
Una oración para la generosidad
Señor Jesús
enséñanos a ser generosos,
a servirte como Tú mereces,
a dar sin medida,
a combatir sin temor a las heridas,
a trabajar sin descanso,
sin esperar otra recompensa
que saber que hemos cumplido
Tu santa voluntad.

I will be, I will be, I will be strength for the journey. I will be, I will be, I will be strength for the journey.
There is a road meant for you to travel. Narrow and steep is the Shepherd’s way. And as you say “yes,” letting me guide you, I will be strength for the journey.
There is a cross meant for you to carry, there is a cross meant for you alone. And as you bow down in humble surrender, I will be strength for the journey.
And how many times have you doubted my word? How many times must I call your name? And as you say, “yes,” letting Me love you, I will be strength for the journey.

I will come to you in the silence, I will lift you from all your fear. You will hear my voice, I claim you as my choice, be still and know I am here.
I am hope for all who are hopeless, I am eyes for all who long to see. In the shadows of the night, I will be your light, come and rest in me.
Do not be afraid I am with you. I have called you each by name. Come and follow me, I will bring you home. I love you and you are mine.
I am strength for all the despairing, healing for the ones who dwell in shame. All the blind will see, the lame will all run free, and all will know my name.
I am the Word that leads all to freedom. I am the peace the world cannot give. I will call your name, embracing all your pain, stand up, now walk and live!
Lord Jesus Christ, I firmly believe that you are present in this Blessed Sacrament as true God and true Man, with your Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity. My Redeemer and my Judge,
I adore your Divine Majesty together with the angels and saints. I believe, O Lord; increase my faith.
Jn 10: 11, 15 I am the Good Shepherd, and I lay down my life for my sheep, says the Lord.
Marty Haugen © 1987 GIA Publications Incorporated
Shepherd me O God, beyond my wants, beyond my fears, from death into life.
God is my shepherd so nothing shall I want, I rest in the meadows of faithfulness and love.
I walk by the quiet waters of peace.
Gently you raise me and heal my weary soul, You lead me by pathways of righteousness and truth,
My spirit shall sing the music of Your name.
Though I should wander the valley of death, I fear no evil, for You are at my side.
Your rod and Your staff, my comfort and my hope.
You have set me a banquet of love in the face of hatred, Crowning me with love beyond my pow’r to hold.
Surely your kindness and mercy follow me all the days of my life;
I will dwell in the house of my God forever more.
John Michael Talbot © 1980 Birdwing\Cherry Lane
Only in God is my soul at rest in Him comes my salvation. He only is my rock my strength and my salvation.
My stronghold, my Savior, I shall not be afraid at all. My stronghold, my Savior, I shall not be moved.
Only in God is found safety when my enemy pursues me. Only in God is found glory
when I am found meek and found lowly.
Steven Curtis Chapman and Matt Maher © 2015 Be Essential Songs/I Am Pilgrim Songs/Who Say Music
We are standing in between hope and despair, believing in your grace and the faith to declare:
You are with us. Hallelujah, hallelujah You are good.
In the ashes and the dust, the sorrow and pain, lies he promise of Your word and the pow'r of Your name.
And when faith gives way to fear, I will trust Your heart, I will trust your heart.
When I cannot feel You near, I will trust Your heart I will trust Your heart.
There's a message being written with the morning sun, and a new song for the broken: Death has lost; Love has won!
You are with us, Hallelujah, Hallelujah You are good Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah You are good
Hallelujah (I have tasted), Hallelujah (I have seen it), Hallelujah You are good
Hallelujah (I remember), Hallelujah (I believe it), Hallelujah You are good.

All the colors of the rainbow, all the voices of the wind. Ev’ry dream that reaches out, reaches out to find where love begins. Ev’ry word of ev’ry story, ev’ry star in ev’ry sky. Ev’ry corner of creation lives to testify.
For as long as I shall live I will testify to love. I’ll be a witness in the silences when words are not enough. With every breath I take, I will give thanks to God above, For as long as I shall live, I will testify to love.
From the mountains to the valleys, from the rivers to the sea. Ev’ry hand that reaches out, ev’ry hand that reaches out to offer peace. Ev’ry single act of mercy, ev’ry step to Kingdom come. All the hope in ev’ry heart speaks what love has done.
