TECHNICAL GUIDE

L O A D I N G I N / P A R K I N G

Rogers Place has the ability to house up to eight (8) buses

and four (4) trucks inside our covered loading dock area,

located on the east face of the building on 102 St. Limited

street parking can be arranged for additional vehicles as

needed. Please review your parking needs with your Event

Manager for guidelines.

Events with over 10 trucks and eight (8) busses can access

parking at our off-site location. Your Event Manager can

provide you with the parking lot locations and associated

costs.

The loading docks at Rogers Place consist of four (4) docks

with dock levelers.

Loading Bay Height: 4.27 m (14 feet)

The elephant door has a 4.57 m (15 feet) height clearance.

This door is situated at the top of the ramp that rises 1.17m

(3.84 feet) over a 19.96 m (65.5 feet) run in the loading bay.

I A T S E

Rogers Place has a collective agreement with IATSE Local 210 to

provide all rigging, loaders and stagehands, forklift operators and

followspot operators within Rogers Place. The house electrician

will tie in the power for your event, as this is not an IATSE position

at Rogers Place. Your Event Manager will coordinate all IATSE

requirements as needed for your event. IATSE rate cards and

guidelines are available from your Event Manager upon request.

In accordance with the agreement between Rogers Place and

IATSE Local 210, all related IATSE labour amounts will be charged

out at holiday rates for all hours worked during General holidays.

RIGGING & CADs

Rogers Place requires the rigging plot 14 days prior to the

event day for in-house approval. All rigging is to be done by

IATSE Local 210.

The minimum IATSE personnel shall include: two high riggers

and one ground rigger to ensure proper safety compliance

RIGGING DETAILS:

Height to the bottom of the catwalk: 38.40 m (126 feet)

Height from the floor to the rigging steel: 38.40 m (126 feet) • Please note the grid tapers up at both ends of the arena where the grid transitions to a hub and spoke structure

Height to the buttress: 28.04 m (92 feet)

Height to the bottom of the lower halo on the retracted scoreboard: 26.30 m (86.3 feet), lighting, audio, cameras and microphones hang down an additional 1.16 m (3.8 feet)

• Overall hang: 25.21 m (82.7 feet)

• Overall height of the scoreboard: 10.39 m (34.1 feet)

• The scoreboard has a tapered design. The top is 14.20 m (46.6 feet) in width while the base is 12.13 m (39.8 feet)

• Rigging is not permitted through the center of the scoreboard, but hangs around the scoreboard are permitted

• The scoreboard retracts most of the way into the ceiling grid

Rogers Place has two curtain packages that span the width of the

bowl. The end-stage curtain is static, the concert-bowl (mid-stage)

curtain can be moved to three optional locations. Additional costs

are required for moving the mid-stage curtain.

Upper-bowl masking is available for the entire upper bowl at

Rogers Place. A draping system is available in sections, so you can

sell portions of the upper bowl and still have other sections draped

off.

The Press Dining Room makes an excellent catering room and is equipped with a server, built in buffet with heating elements, washrooms, nine (9) 48” and one (1) 75” television monitors and multiple electrical outlets.

Notice of at least 30 days prior to your event

In house catering is available upon request. Our catering team would be happy to provide you with a personalized catering experience to suit “on the road” dietary needs while showcasing fresh and unique local ingredients.

Due to Alberta liquor regulations, ALL alcohol requirements need to be purchased through the venues liquor license. Compliance with Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis Commission is mandatory.
