About meI graduated from Brunel University with a 2/1 degree in Industrial Design BSc, including a year industrial placement at Tsunami-Axis and a 3 month internship in Germany. Following this, I worked for The Furniture Practice in London for the next 12 months in a multi-role position involved in graphic and website design, sales support and as an IT Manager. Since then I have been working freelance under the identity Roedz Creative Studio which I set up in March 2009. I have worked alongside companies such as Loreal & Young’s Brewery, right through to small start-up businesses.

I have experience in various marketing mediums, having created several printed documents including brochures, invitations, adverts, posters and flyers as well as building, maintaining and updating websites.

Youngs Brewery Young’s pubs are passionate about food and drink. With an unrivalled range of the very best quality Young’s cask ales and speciality beers on the bar and many of their pubs. Each pub has its own character and style ranging from the ultra-modern and bustling pub dining experience to the friendly and welcoming atmosphere of the Young’s ‘local’ at the very hub of its community.

With this is mind, when designing different material for the Young’s brand I had to take this in to account and produce relevant items such as that shown above. While working with Redboxstudio I was responsible for this client and all of their needs.


Prada It is well known that Prada is an Italian fashion label specialising in luxury goods for both men and women and is considered one of the most influential clothing designers in the fashion industry. Various research was collated to produce this document that included diagrams, charts and graphic illustrations to create a visually appealing document, while adhering to Prada’s strict branding guidelines in all aspects of the design.

A product was also designed and manufacture after the aforementioned research, the concept was for a Radio Frequency ID chip to be inserted within the product, containing all their personal details enabling them to pay for items, travel, entrance into bars, etc.


CT-Dent CT Dent is a leading London based independent dental imaging centre with currently over 800 dental specialists who use their services on a regular basis for their imaging needs. They are the only independent CT scanning centre in London and required some ‘fresh’ marketing material that promoted their services.

Flyers (shown top left) along with a 20 page brochure (centre images), a website, magazine advert and a DL sized folding brochure were created for this client.


Contribution to the World This brochure focuses on the contribution that Israel has made to the world in regards to medical, scientific, military, aeronautical and farming. I received a grade A on this particular project and was shown to the entire academic year.


Catering Occasion We were approached to create a brand identity for Catering Occasion. Three logos were presented to the client, along with stationary to show how the logo would potentially look at a future date.

The company’s target market was in the public sector and was therefore taken in to consideration throughout the design process

AP Advisers This site was for a start-up London based accountancy firm. They wanted a fresh design for their site that ‘drew’ the user in and allowed easy interaction with the information presented clearly and concisely.

Roedz Creative Studio03/2009 – CurrentSince leaving The Furniture Practice I set up my own Design Studio where I am involved in several projects that include the design of brochures, flyers, business cards, websites and other similar items. This shows that I am an incredibly organised and disciplined individual that is both focused and hardworking to produce the highest standard of work, while ensuring my clients are happy at all times.

The Furniture Practice01/2008 – 01/2009My role was as a graphic designer/sales support/IT Manager for a major furniture dealer in London. Everyday roles involve using AutoCAD, Photoshop, Illustrator, Microsoft Office, Dreamweaver and 3DS Max. The tasks that I was involved in were largely graphic and design based which had me updating and creating new presentations, designing and printing boards for clients as well as all of the space planning that was needed.

Tsunami Axis01/2006 – 09/2006An 8 month Industrial Placement at Tsunami-Axis, the largest Herman Miller furniture dealer in the UK and if not, in Europe. Vast experience was gained in project management aspects where I was involved in projects from the start and left on my own to meet the client, space planning, installation plans and any snagging issues that might have arisen. Floor layouts using AutoCAD and 3D modelling to produce high quality images using 3DS Max was used on a daily basis.

INA Bearings (Germany)03/2002 – 06/200212 week work placement in Germany at a major Engineering Company. A vast amount of experience was gained during this time, manufacturing processes as well as having the opportunity to experience the life and culture of another country. This experience made me independent and even more determined to achieve my goals.

I have collectively over two and a half years’ professional experience and have been in this industry the last six years. I recently set up my own freelance identity called Roedz Creative Studio, where I am involved in several graphic and web design projects that allow me to explore various methods to help clients promote their business..


Achievements & Responsibilities ReferencesPhotography and Sport(2009):I have recently taken up photography as my hobby, using my DSLR camera at every opportunity. I also regularly cycle and go to the gym as a means to keep fit. I also enjoy team sports, occasionally organising paintball and 5-a-side football with friends. Having to show tolerance and understanding are essential qualities in team interaction and allow each individual to work together as a unit, completing each task in an efficient and professional way.

Charity Biycle Fundraiser (2009):I raised over £500 for a charity cycle eventing for the JLE in June this year

Charity Voluntary work (2008):In my spare time I volunteer for a charity called ‘Camp Simcha’ who works to help children with cancer and any other life threatening illnesses. Recently on the 2008 parade through London I was a security warden that was responsible for keeping the entertainers and crowds a safe distance from the buses. This shows that I am a responsible and caring individual that ensures the welfare of each and every person.

Social Representative & Secretary (2005):Voted onto the Brunel University Society committee by fellow members. My roles included organising and advertising social and academic events whilst being responsible for the weekly meetings, committee accounts and delegating tasks to fellow committee members. This opportunity gave me great confidence in my communication skills as well as my organisational ability.

Other InformationI am originally from Durban, South Africa where I lived for most of my life and at the age of fifteen I left for Cambridge and completed my GSCE’s and A-Levels. Since then I have been living in London for the past 6 years. I am well travelled having visited Canada, Germany (lived), France, Spain, Prague, Holland, Israel and others which I feel have made me a well rounded individual with a broad outlook and the life experience to be tolerant and understanding to people from different cultures.
