The musical genre we know

as "Rock 'n' Roll" has been

with us for nearly seven

decades, having come to life

in America in the early

1950's. To say that rock has

changed the world of music

would be an understatement.

In the eyes of many, it has become the primary driving force in the

musical world - artistically, culturally and commercially.

On Friday, December 6th, ethnomusicologist and music

documentarian Dan Kruse will take us on a whirlwind tour of the

early years of rock 'n' roll including -- Elvis, Buddy Holly, the

Beatles and the Rolling Stones. Dan, a familiar voice to longtime

KUAZ listeners, will present an in-depth 4 part WU series on Rock

'n' Roll at the Canyon this spring!

Circuit Training with Ronnie

Ronnie is an excellent trainer and group

exercise facilitator. He has great energy

that is bound to be contagious! Join

Circuit Training every Wednesday in

December at 2pm.

Stretch for Arthritis with Liza

Liza comes to the Canyon with many

years of experience teaching Yoga,

Meditation, Aqua, Flexibility, Balance,

Strength & Cardio (just to name a few!).

In December she will offer two Stretch

for Arthritis classes, and will continue to

build her program in the New Year.

WU: Joyful Movement, Thursdays at 2pm

In Joyful Movement, there is no “right” or

“wrong” way to move. Each person learns

to value individual choices; in turn, the

group provides support for individual

creativity.

Path to Well-Being

Depart: Hidden Tucson: Southwest Strings

December 18, 9:15am-1:15pm

Southwest Strings has been the source of quality stringed instruments and

accessories to musicians around the world since 1985. They are one of the

busiest sellers of student violin-family instruments (violin, cello, bass) in

the country. The Tucson headquarters features over 27,000 square feet of

warehouse space and we will be able to watch their master luthiers at

work! After our tour we'll head to Roma Imports tucked into the Lost

Barrio. They serve traditional Italian sandwiches and salads. Maybe a

strolling violist will stumble upon us!
