synony-mous with the 80s music scene.
Accomplishments include 19 Top 10Billboard singles including fan
favor-ites such as I Want A New Drug, ThePower of Love, The Heart
of RockN Roll, If This is It, and Hip to Be
Square.
Their pop sound is rock combinedwith backing harmony vocals of
souland doo-wop.
The band has had its share of line-upchanges over the year, but
Hueys dis-tinct voice and stage persona continueson. Tirelessly
touring, the band makesits debut on the Rock Jam stage Fridayat 10
p.m.

W ith the rst night of Rock Jam hap-pening on theanniversary of
9/11, the Grand JunctionFree Press and KKCO-NBC 11 are part-nering
with Rock Jam to pay tribute toour local heroes in public safety.
Theseare the rst responders in our commu-nity who dont ask
questions and dont hesitate when it comes to assisting and
saving lives. They include, but are not limited to, the
following local agencies:

For years, our community has recog-nized the efforts of the rst
respondersand the tragic events that occurred onSept. 11, 2001.
This year, the recognitionis being turned toward the efforts that
local rst responders and emergencypersonnel play in our lives on a
dailybasis. The Free Press and KKCO arehonored to be able to
utilize Rock Jamas a catalyst to bring together the festi-
val audience and the local heroes of thiscommunity.
On the main stage Friday evening, theFree Press and KKCO have
prepared aspecial short program to honor our localheroes. Join us
in giving them the rec-ognition they deserve.
